Hey there!
I picked up the Bi Bi Care Adhesive Remover on Wildberries when I needed to get rid of leftover marks from the painter's tape that had melted in the scorching sun while I was installing plastic trim on my balcony last summer. Painter's tape usually comes off surfaces easily, but in this case, something went wrong - the heat had other plans.
Let's get to what happened next. I'll share my experience with you.
A bit about the product.
Name: Bi Bi Care Adhesive Remover.
Design: The 210ml aerosol can comes in a sleek black, white, and orange design.
Product info: The details about the remover are printed in small text on the sides of the can, but you can make them out if you look closely.
The description on the can sounds pretty promising:
An effective solution for removing adhesives, tape, and glue residue from glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, and even painted surfaces.
Thanks to the natural solvent D-limonene, the product has a citrus scent. It's suitable for both cars and everyday use.
Instructions:
Shake the can well before use, and test the product on an inconspicuous area first.
Apply the product evenly to the affected area from a distance of 20-30cm. Let it work for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the label and glue residue with a dry cloth or paper towel.
Repeat the process if needed.
For the best results, use the product at a can temperature above +14°C.
The can is sealed with a transparent plastic lid. The lid has raised ridges around the edges, which keep it securely in place, even if you turn the can upside down.
The spray nozzle is pretty standard, but it sprays really well and has a wide stream. It doesn't clog up at all, and I haven't seen any signs of it getting stuck.
The smell is strongly citrusy, but it's not overwhelming – it doesn't sting my eyes or nose.
And get this – it's got a 10-year shelf life! The production date is even printed on the bottom of the can.
The adhesive remover really delivers.
Fast-forward to summer, when I was trying to clean my balcony. Unfortunately, the adhesive remover didn't quite do the trick – it left some sticky residue behind. I tried a few different approaches, including letting it sit in the cold, but it just wasn't 100% effective. I'm not giving up, though – I'll try a different brand next time.
But not everything is a total loss.
I found an old soap dish in my cleaning caddy with a stubborn old sticker on the back. It was a great opportunity to test the adhesive remover.
I've had similar issues with old stickers in the past. So, let's put the adhesive remover to the test.
The sticker is pretty old, and even if I scrape it off with my nails, there's still sticky residue left behind.
So, I gave the adhesive remover a shot. I shook the can, sprayed it on the sticker, and waited. The sticker started to get all wet and gooey, and when I touched it with my finger, it felt like oil.
One of the standout features for me was that the remover didn't irritate my skin at all, even when I accidentally got it on my skin.
The smell is strong and citrusy, but it's not overpowering and fades away quickly.
I waited for about 5 minutes after spraying it on, and to my surprise, the sticker came off easily without leaving any residue. I didn't even need to use a cloth to remove it - just my fingers.
Removing the sticker after using the removerAfter that, I washed the remover off with soap and water, and it was like a breath of fresh air - my remover was finally clean and free of any residue.
It also worked like a charm on an old sticker on my fridge, but unfortunately, I had already removed it before I thought to take a photo.
The verdict: the remover is good, but it seems to work inconsistently. Sometimes it's a breeze to use, and other times it's not as effective.
I'd still recommend it, but be aware that you might need to put in a bit more effort to remove stubborn stickers.
