I'm super particular about my skincare routine, and my skin always seems to appreciate it. My nighttime face cleansing is a multi-step process, but for morning washing, I've been using a gentle foam for years. Today I want to share my thoughts on the Aravia foam I picked up after falling in love with their other products - their amazing AHA toner and their incredible enzyme powder with PHA acids.

Aravia foam💢 Packaging and appearance:The foam comes in a container packaged in a box that was initially sealed with beeswax. The box is designed in the brand’s style, with a white and red color scheme. It contains all the necessary information about the product: composition, properties, volume, shelf life, storage conditions, and manufacturer contact details.
The box also states that the foam was not tested on animals and is manufactured in accordance with the GOST standard for liquid cosmetics.
The bottle is made from a dense, high-quality plastic in a lovely pink color. The cap is also plastic, transparent, and just slides on and clicks into place.
Aravia foam with snail mucin The bottle also has information about the product, in a pretty small font, but it’s readable.
The dispenser is a pump-style one, and it works great - it doesn’t get clogged. It’s designed to turn the liquid into a fluffy foam. On top of the dispenser, there’s a special textured surface with a little indentation for your finger. It’s ribbed so your finger doesn’t slip. Even from the bottle, you can tell that the liquid inside isn’t thick - it’s pretty much like water, but it foams up at the slightest movement or shake. On my hand, you can see that it’s a clear, transparent liquid that’s pretty runny and slightly slippery to the touch.
💢 The scent of this face wash is really pleasant, with a fruity, slightly sweet aroma that reminds me of strawberries. It’s not too harsh or overpowering, and it’s barely noticeable on my skin after washing.
💢 The texture of the face wash is just right - not too runny, not too thick. It’s got a nice, airy consistency that’s easy to spread around my face. The amount of face wash you get from one pump is just enough to cover my entire face.
❗️ To get a more dense and whipped-up texture out of the face wash, I find it helps to give the bottle a little shake before use.
💢 The ingredient list isn’t perfect, though - I’m not a fan of the harsh surfactants like sodium laureth sulfate. But there are some nice ingredients in there too:
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Disodium Laureth Sulphosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Benzyl Alcohol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin, Cocamide DEA, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (licorice), Snail Slime Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Disodium EDTA, Parfum, Methylisothiazolinone.
On the plus side, I love that it’s got snail slime extract, which is a great antioxidant that helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and even out my skin tone. It’s also got ginkgo biloba, which is supposed to improve circulation and boost collagen production. It’s a pretty nice combo of ingredients, all things considered.
▶️ Snail slime extract
This stuff is a total game-changer - it’s got amazing antioxidant properties that help to reduce inflammation and improve skin elasticity. It’s also got some amazing anti-aging benefits, helping to stimulate collagen production and even out my skin tone.
▶️ Ginkgo biloba
This is another one of my favorite ingredients - it’s supposed to improve circulation and boost collagen production, which is exactly what I need to tackle those pesky fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also got some amazing antioxidant properties that help to protect my skin from environmental stressors and keep it looking smooth and supple.
▶️ Sweet Almond Extract
This extract is a powerful antioxidant with disinfecting, anti-inflammatory, and anti-itching properties. It accelerates tissue regeneration, strengthens capillary walls, preventing conditions like couperose and rosacea. It regulates sebum production, eliminating excess shine and protecting pores from clogging.
The manufacturer lists the following properties of the foam:
CleansingToningMoisturizingConstricts poresReduces irritationMaintains water balancexa0
❇️ My skin: I’m 40, with combination skin, enlarged pores, and shine in the T-zone. I’ve got some fine lines and wrinkles.
❇️ Using the foam:
I only use this foam for morning cleansing. I’ve read reviews where some girls use it to remove makeup at night, but I think it’s not designed for that. I shake the bottle, press the dispenser all the way down, and the amount of foam I get is just right for one wash.
Rinsing is easy. If I’m in a hurry, I just apply the foam to my face for 20-25 seconds and then rinse thoroughly.
If I’ve got the time, I like to do a gentle face massage with the foam to reduce morning puffiness. After washing, I always pat my face dry with single-use paper towels – it’s more hygienic than regular towels, and I’ve noticed a huge reduction in breakouts.
❇️ My impressions:
I’ve found that using this cleanser in the mornings really helps get rid of any leftover night cream and excess sebum. My skin feels super clean and like it’s breathing. The texture really helps to smooth out my skin and reduce the appearance of pores. I’ve noticed that after using it, my T-zone looks less shiny than usual throughout the day.
One thing I like about this cleanser is that it doesn’t dry out my skin or cause any flakiness. I also don’t get that sticky feeling that can come with some cleansers. However, I do notice a bit of tightness after using it, which is probably just my skin adjusting to the reduced pore size. Occasionally, I’ll take a break from using it just to be safe.
I haven’t really noticed any moisturizing or anti-acne benefits from using this cleanser, despite what the packaging claims. On the plus side, I haven’t had any negative reactions like breakouts or allergic reactions.
