Getting the Most Out of the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask: My Honest Review
Hello!
I've been using the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask for a while now, and I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical at first. I bought it last year, but I didn't use it correctly, so I thought it was just a dud. I stuck it in a cabinet for a few months and forgot about it. But recently, I decided to give it another shot, and I'm so glad I did. Here's my updated review.
Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask review: results, before and after photos
When I first got my hands on the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask, I didn't really think twice about the instruction to 'apply to prepped skin'. To me, that just meant washing my face with a cleanser and then slapping on the mask. I did it a couple of times, but I didn't notice any difference.
As it turns out, you're supposed to use this mask after a thorough skincare routine, like a deep cleanse. The idea is that the mask will help to minimize pores, but you need to prep your skin first by steaming it or exfoliating it to really get the best results.
I've got combination skin, which is a real pain. I'm 30+, and I've got enlarged pores around my nose and on my nose itself. And, of course, there's the lovely blackhead situation going on in that area.

But here's the thing: even after I exfoliate, the blackheads come back. It's like my pores are magnets for dirt and oil.
So, how do I use the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask?
First things first, I like to cleanse my skin using a gel, foam, or whatever works best for my skin type.
Next, I steam my skin to loosen up those pesky pores. You can't just expect them to open up on their own, right? I've tried steaming in the sauna, breathing in the steam from a boiling pot of water, and even just holding a hot towel over my face.
Physical exfoliation is the next step – I'm not going to reveal any secrets here, but basically it's just about getting rid of those blackheads. Some people use their fingers, others a special tool, but I've always stuck with my trusty hands and a comedone extractor.
After I've cleared out my pores, I give my face a good wipe down with chlorhexidine to prevent any bacteria from getting in and causing more problems.
Finally, I apply the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask in a thick layer and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
One thing I love about this mask is that it doesn't dry out or crack, even with the white clay in the formula. It just glides on and doesn't feel like it's there at all, which is a total win.
I've used it a few times now, and I've never experienced any irritation, itching, or stinging. It's super gentle and feels like a spa treatment for my skin.
After I rinse it off, I follow up with a hydrating serum to help calm down any redness or flakiness. It's pretty common for my skin to get a bit flaky after a deep clean, so I like to give it some extra TLC.
Don't worry if your skin does end up looking a bit pink after using this mask – it's totally normal! It usually goes back to normal by the next day.
I've included some pretty unglamorous collages below with before-and-after pics of my skin. I've tried to show the difference in different lighting and angles, so you can get a better idea of how it's helped.
On the first pic, my skin is looking pretty clogged up – I hadn't cleaned it in about a month, and I was just using a gel cleanser. The second pic is after a deep clean, and the third is after using the Aravia mask.

I think the results are pretty clear: my pores are still a bit clogged, but they're not as noticeable as they were before.
Now, let's take a look at the results on my nose, where I had a ton of blackheads and enlarged pores. The top photos are BEFORE I used the Aravia mask, and the bottom two are AFTER all the treatments:

What do you think?
I'm seriously impressed. I've been dealing with blackheads for ages, so seeing a clear nose without any blackheads or craters is a major win!
Unfortunately, to keep my pores clean, I have to do this treatment pretty regularly – at least once a week. If I slack off, I'll end up right back where I started.
The effect of minimized pores lasts for a few days after the treatment. Here's a photo of my skin a week after I used the Aravia mask:

It's still not perfect, but I'm seeing some decent results. There are still a few blackheads here and there, but that's not a deal-breaker for me. I'm loving the way I look in the mirror!
After seeing such amazing results, I've decided to make Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask a part of my regular skincare routine - I'm using it after every wash!
I've got to say, while the ARAVIA Post-Acne Balance Mask with dissolving and pore-minimizing effect didn't quite live up to all its promises, I'm still super happy with the results. My main skin concerns are enlarged pores and blackheads, and I've been dealing with those issues for years. When used correctly, this mask really delivers! I didn't experience any irritation, new breakouts, or allergic reactions. Just pleasant surprises and amazing results.

Before I started using the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask, I had a pretty standard skincare routine. I'd wash my face with a gel cleanser, pat it dry, and then apply a moisturizer. But after using the mask, I realized that I needed to step up my game. I started using a deeper cleanser, exfoliating more regularly, and applying a toner to help balance out my skin's pH.
It's been a few weeks since I started using the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask, and I can already see a difference in my skin. My pores are smaller, my skin is smoother, and I've even noticed a reduction in blackheads. It's amazing to see how much of a difference a simple mask can make!
Of course, I'm not perfect, and I still have some areas of concern. My skin can still get a bit oily, especially in the T-zone, and I still get the occasional breakout. But overall, I'm really happy with the results I've seen so far.
One thing I will say is that the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask is not a miracle worker. It's not going to fix all of your skin problems overnight, and it's not going to make you look like a completely different person. But what it will do is help to minimize your pores, reduce blackheads, and leave your skin feeling smooth and refreshed.
So, if you're looking for a mask that can help to improve the overall health and appearance of your skin, I would definitely recommend giving the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask a try. Just remember to use it correctly, and don't be afraid to experiment with different skincare routines to find what works best for you.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the Aravia Post-Acne Balance Mask. It's a great product that has helped to improve the health and appearance of my skin, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good skincare mask.
