When I start to notice oily skin on my face, I know it's time to give my skincare routine a refresh and focus on moisturizing. The thing is, oil is just a protective barrier on skin that's been stripped of its natural moisture by harsh products.
So, why not apply the same principle to my scalp?
If I don't have hormonal issues and I need to wash my hair every day, I think I've found the solution.
I've been washing my hair daily for a while now, and I've noticed that using a scalp toner helps extend the time between washes. It's only now that I understand why – the toner regulates the pH after shampooing, and my scalp doesn't produce as much oil.
I've been searching for a moisturizing shampoo for ages, but most products I've tried have added extras that just don't work for me. Take Lador's keratin shampoo, for example. While it's great for damaged hair, it actually makes healthy hair dull over time.
But I've finally found it – a shampoo that provides moisture throughout my hair length, cleanses effectively, and lets me go three whole days without washing. Three days is a luxury I never thought I'd experience.
Londa Professional Deep Moisture Shampoo
Where to buy: I ordered it on Ozon.
Volume: 250ml
Price: 472₽ (original price 665₽)
My husband has curly hair, and I bought him the Londa curly hair care series (we'd previously tried Matrix): shampoo, no-rinse conditioner, and a curl-defining cream. He's happy with it – he can even get by with just using soap to wash his hair! But when he said, 'I've run out of shampoo, order me some, or else my hair's like straw,' I was impressed... and decided to give Londa a try for myself.
Frankly, I was skeptical. I've tried all sorts of fancy shampoos, but I always end up going back to my trusty Pantene micellar shampoo. I've always said, 'A good shampoo should clean well and that's it,' but now I'm not so sure.
I was really excited to try out Londa's Deep Moisture shampoo, which promises to deliver intense hydration to dry locks. It's supposed to leave your hair feeling soft, shiny, and easy to comb through, all while being inspired by the natural goodness of honey and mango.
According to the label, this shampoo is all about providing long-lasting moisture and nourishment to your hair. It's got a blend of ingredients that work together to lock in moisture and leave your hair feeling silky smooth.
So, let's take a closer look at the ingredients. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it seems like Londa has really put some thought into creating a formula that's both effective and gentle.
The ingredient list is pretty standard for a moisturizing shampoo, but there are a few things that caught my eye. First, there's the presence of honey and mango, which are both known for their hydrating properties. Then there's the inclusion of silicones, which can help to smooth the cuticle and reduce frizz.
Now, I know some people might be put off by the presence of silicones, but I think they're a necessary evil in a moisturizing shampoo. They help to lock in moisture and prevent it from escaping, which is especially important for dry hair.
Here's the thing: some moisturizing ingredients work by attracting moisture from the air. But if the air is dry, they can actually end up stripping your hair of its natural oils. Silicones, on the other hand, help to create a barrier that prevents moisture from escaping in the first place. And here's the best part:
The pump dispenser is actually really convenient for travel – it doesn't leak or spill at all!
The color is a lovely liquid white with subtle shimmering particles. It's got a nice, fragrant scent that's hard to describe – it just smells fresh and clean. It pours out of the bottle really well, and if you flip it upside down when you're running low, you can get every last drop out of it.
I wash my hair with any shampoo twice, using a small amount each time. The first wash gets my roots really clean, while the second wash focuses more on distributing the lather throughout my hair.
This Londa shampoo creates a fantastic, fluffy lather that does a great job of cleaning my hair without stripping it of its natural oils. It's gentle, but effective – I don't feel like I'm scrubbing my scalp raw.
Results
It doesn't happen overnight, but after a few days of using this shampoo, my hair starts to feel really clean and healthy. It's not just a surface-level clean, either – my scalp starts to produce less oil, which is a huge plus for me.
Check out the photo from the next morning – it's been four days since I started using this shampoo, and my hair is still looking great.
I have to admit, I was skeptical about spending a bit more money on a shampoo – but the results have been worth it. My hair feels so much healthier and more manageable, even in the middle of summer when it's hot and humid outside.
One of the best things about this shampoo is that it leaves my hair feeling soft and silky, even after it's dried. It's not just a temporary fix, either – my hair stays healthy-looking for longer, which means I don't need to wash it as often.
If you're used to dealing with frizzy, tangled hair, you know how frustrating it can be. But with this shampoo, I can just let my hair down and enjoy the feeling of soft, flowing locks.
Of course, it's worth noting that this shampoo is a bit pricier than some of the other options out there – but for me, it's been worth every penny.
p.s. After I finished the travel-sized shampoo, I went ahead and bought the 1-liter version. I'm not feeling the need to try anything else just yet
I'm really happy with this shampoo, and how it's been treating my hair. I'm totally on board with it!
