My cat, Lusya, is a super finicky eater. She's always been a dry food girl, and it took us ages to find the perfect one that doesn't give her any tummy troubles or affect her figure. We tried all the cheap stuff from the supermarkets, but she'd literally turn up her nose at night. She's even got worms, so it's not like she's got a medical issue. The vets told us to switch her food.
So, after all that drama, I finally decided to go for the Alleva Holistic Chicken & Duck + Aloe Vera & Ginseng cat food. I'd heard great things about it.
I ordered this product from Diusapet.ru, but you can also buy it on OZON.
I chose to have it shipped via courier service СДЭК.

Alleva Holistic Chicken, Duck, Aloe Vera, and Ginseng
Complete and Balanced Dry Food for Adult Cats
I've been using this grain-free cat food line, and I've gotta say, it's a game-changer. No corn or other fillers here - just fresh meat and a blend of fytonutrients. The protein content is impressive, to say the least.

⚐ PACKAGING
The packaging is solid and airtight, but I do wish it had a zip lock. I've been storing the leftover food in a separate container to keep it fresh. It's always a good idea to transition your cat to a new food gradually, so I'm still mixing it with their old food for now.
If you don't have a container for storing cat food, I'd recommend getting one. Many dry foods recommend being transferred to airtight containers to preserve their quality. I think it's only a matter of time before Diusa Pet follows suit and adds zip locks to their packaging.
One thing that really stood out to me was the packaging - it's got a ton of information on it, but it's all in English, and I had to dig through a little fold on the side to find the Russian description. That was a bit of a pain, but at least I was able to find it.
INGREDIENTS
I was really surprised to see yucca extract in the ingredients list - I mean, I've seen it in human food before, but I wouldn't have thought to use it in cat food!
dried chicken (42%), fresh chicken without bones (20%), dried duck (12%), sweet potato, chicken fat, pea starch, fish oil, pea fiber, chicken liver, burdock root (source of inulin and FOS), plantain, inactive dry brewer's yeast (source of MOS), chicken cartilage (source of glucosamine and chondroitin), potassium carbonate, Aloe vera (0.10%), ginseng root (Panax ginseng) (0.10%), rosemary, turmeric, clove, lemon (Rosmarinus officinalis, Curcuma longa, Eugenia caryophyllus, Citrus sp.) - (0.05%), yucca extract.
When you compare the ingredients in this food to what you'd find in supermarket brands, it's clear there's a big difference in the percentage of meat. Here, we've got duck, chicken, and liver in a big ratio - my cat absolutely loves it. Plus, there are sources of glucosamine and chondroitin, courtesy of chicken cartilage.
The fact that it already contains fish oil is a big plus - I used to give it to my cat as a supplement.
That's probably why this food has such a distinctive fishy smell.
🍀 The granules remind me of dark brown tablets.
🍀 The aroma is natural - it smells like fish, but there's a meaty undertone too.
At the moment, I'm not giving my cat anything else besides this food. I think it's got everything she needs for a balanced diet.

I've gotta say, the vitamin profile on this supplement is seriously impressive. With 24,000 IU of Vitamin A, 1,320 IU of Vitamin D3, 720 mg of Vitamin E, and a whole host of other essential vitamins and minerals, I'm really getting my money's worth. Here's the breakdown: Vitamin A (3a672a) – 24,000 IU, Vitamin D3 (3a671) – 1,320 IU, Vitamin E (3a700) – 720 mg, Vitamin B1 (3a820) – 9.60 mg, Vitamin B2 – 60 mg, Vitamin B6 (3a831) – 60 mg, Vitamin B12 – 0.12 mg, Niacinamide (3a315) - 168 mg, Biotin (3a880) - 9.60 mg, Folic acid (3a316) - 2.40 mg, D-pantothenate calcium (3a841) - 60 mg, Vitamin C (3a300) - 180 mg, Beta-carotene (3a160(a)) - 60 mg, Choline chloride (3a890) - 2,500 mg, Zinc (3b6.10) (Chelate of zinc with methionine hydroxy analogue) - 120 mg, Manganese (3b5.10) (Chelate of manganese with methionine hydroxy analogue) - 30 mg, Iron (3b106) (Iron (II) chelate of amino acid hydrate) - 120 mg, Copper (3b4.10) (Chelate of copper with methionine hydroxy analogue) - 12 mg, DL-methionine (3c301) - 4,000 mg, Taurine (3a370) - 4,000 mg, L-carnitine (3a910) - 500 mg.
On top of that, I've got some special additives that I'm really excited about: rosemary extract and green tea extract.
And let's not forget the antioxidants: natural source of tocopherols.
🍀 FEEDING
I've gotta say, feeding my cat has gotten a whole lot easier since I started using this supplement. I used to have to divide her food up into little portions throughout the day, but now I just give her the recommended amount all at once in the morning. And the best part? The bowl is empty by the end of the day, but not all at once - it's a nice, steady pace. No more stress for me, and my cat is happy too!

One thing that's super important to remember is that when you're switching to dry food, your cat still needs access to water at all times.
Alleva Holistic Chicken & Duck + Aloe Vera & Ginseng
When transitioning to holistic food, make sure to control your cat's water intake, and you'll be surprised - no issues with stool whatsoever. Trust me, I've been there. My cat didn't have any problems at all.
Alleva Holistic Chicken & Duck + Aloe Vera & Ginseng
My cat's definitely more affectionate since I started feeding her this food.
I'm thrilled that Lysa no longer wakes us up with those awful vomiting noises, and we don't have to get up in the middle of the night to clean up after her. That's the life, right? It was worth the long search for the perfect food that would even please a picky eater like her.
Lysa's sensitive stomach took to the food like a charm. It's clear that she loves it. She eats with enthusiasm, but without the hysteria that comes with other foods. She's not flying into the kitchen to me after waking up, begging for more. It's like she's always full.
🍀 MY IMPRESSIONS
I'm happy that I don't have to deal with those 3 am vomiting noises anymore. That was a common occurrence for us before. Lysa's actually stopped throwing up.
Her coat is healthy, shiny, and in great condition. She's happy and content. She's super active.
I'm more than happy to recommend Alleva Holistic to your furry friends. This is a fully balanced diet that's perfect for your pet's health and wellbeing.
