Tver, Russia

I've gotta say, this product from Tver, Russia is a real gem. It's a great value for money, with top-notch build quality and super easy to use. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm consistently impressed with its performance. The build quality is top-notch, and it's incredibly easy to navigate. I've had zero issues with shipping, and customer support has been responsive whenever I've needed it.

A Disappointing Experience at Akami in Tver

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm still fuming about my recent visit to the Akami store in Tver. I had high hopes, but what I experienced was a total letdown. The store's location in the city center was one of the reasons I was excited to visit, but my experience was far from what I expected. I got the store's location mixed up and ended up at the wrong mall. To make matters worse, the lottery rules were a bit steep for my budget. Here's the deal - if you're planning to visit, make sure you do your research and don't get caught off guard like I did. I was expecting a seamless shopping experience, but the service was a letdown, even though the staff were friendly and welcoming. The store's atmosphere is modern and sleek, but it doesn't quite live up to the hype. I was also disappointed with the build quality of some products, which wasn't great. Overall, I'd say the store has a good selection of products, but the quality isn't always consistent. If you're on a budget, be aware that the lottery rules can be a bit steep.

A Disappointing Experience at Akami in Tver
I'm still fuming about my recent visit to the Akami store in Tver. I had high hopes, but what I experienced was a total letdown.
I'd been eyeing this place for a while, and I thought it would be a great spot to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. But, boy, was I wrong.
The store's location in the city center was one of the reasons I was excited to visit. I thought it would be a great place to meet up with friends or grab a quick gift for someone. However, my experience was far from what I expected.
I found out about a lottery the store was running on International Women's Day (it took place from March 7th to 9th), and it was a game-changer. The rules stated that to win a prize, you had to spend at least 300 rubles (600 rubles got you two entries, and so on).
For me, this amount was a bit steep, especially since I was trying to save up for something else. But I was determined to participate in the event!
After getting the store's location mixed up (I was thinking of a different mall - Sretensky Boulevard, to be exact), I managed to 'jump on the last train' and find the right address.
At first, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I was too caught up in creating content and trying to remember about the event. But as time passed, I started to feel something was off.
Firstly, the cashier was preoccupied with something and didn't even notice me when I greeted her. Later on, she seemed upset and wasn't too thrilled about the new customers... including me and two other girls who had just arrived.
My friends came in almost as quickly as I did - they were practically speeding through the mall!). They did create a bit of a commotion (not too much, but it was noticeable), and as a group of young people, I can understand that.
I'm not sure how to describe it... What really got my goat was the way the sales assistant's attitude changed the more I enjoyed browsing the products – the keychains, earrings, pins, pushpins, plushies, clothes, and office supplies. It was like a tidal wave of hidden resentment towards all of us.
But it wasn't until I went to ask about the promotion that I really felt the full force of her attitude.
She was still a bit short with me, but once she calmed down, she just bluntly told me that it was the last day of the lottery. I was taken aback, not sure what to make of it – whether she was just having a bad day or if I'd somehow gotten under her skin (although I'd been behaving perfectly politely), I didn't make any conclusions on the spot, but things only got a bit clearer from there.
It seemed like she was getting frustrated with all of us – the little girls who came in to buy more souvenirs with their favorite characters, me taking a video while browsing the products and wondering what to choose...
The tension was palpable, and if she hadn't been in a position of authority and working in that store, she would've probably kicked us all out with a broom. That's how I felt.
When the little girls were done shopping and left, we were left alone. I went to the checkout with my purchases, pulled out my ticket, and started looking for the stickers I wanted.
When I got to the checkout again, I put the stickers I liked next to my other purchases and said I'd take them. Her response was simply, 'You can take them!'
Those were her last words before the end...
As always, very 'positive' and 'funny'... No comments...
What really hit me was that the store 'Akami' in Tver is not just some local, quirky shop with a weird name, but actually a branch of the main online store with the same name!
I mean, there are Akami stores all over Russia, but some of them offer delivery from the website, while others don't. The one I'm writing about doesn't offer delivery.
So, the bottom line:
I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone (except the main Akami website, which I think is fine). I think they have no idea what's going on in their 'branches'.
All the good things I can say about this store (it's in the city center, they have a lot of nice and cute products, they're on social media, they have sales) are completely overshadowed by the way they treat customers. It's just awful.
Saying I was disappointed would be an understatement. I kept wondering what I did wrong, but I couldn't find an answer. I mean, I was excited to visit this store for the first time, and they treated me like dirt.
I'm still amazed that there are people like this working in retail. And their employers, who apparently think this kind of behavior is normal.
Rating: 1 out of 5, and a big thumbs down.
P.S.
If you need to order something, just use a marketplace or go to a different store. Avoid Akami on Trehsvyatkskaya street.
Who knows, maybe this was just a bad day for the salesperson.
This is me trying to laugh off the whole experience. Because, honestly, it's just too ridiculous to be taken seriously.
P.P.S.
