I've been trying out different food and grocery delivery services while working remotely, and let me tell you, it's been a total lifesaver.
But lately, Pyaterochka's delivery service has been really disappointing me.
Just the other day, the cashier at one of their stores refused to accept a package I'd paid for delivery on.
She said, 'we don't accept packages like this, they're too big.'
But what really got my goat was that she didn't even bother to scan the QR code and check the package's dimensions to see if she should accept it or not.
It's pretty weird, because another store down the street had no issues accepting it.
Pyaterochka delivery reviewToday, I saw a great deal from T-Bank that offered a cashback of up to 55% on orders delivered by Pyaterochka, but capped at 600 rubles.
There's still time to take advantage of this deal until January 14th, if I don't change my mind.
Yesterday's experience was already a big red flag, but how could I pass up such a great offer?
I mean, who doesn't love saving money, right?
And this time, the delivery is even free.
Delivery from Perekrestok reviewI only use Perekrestok delivery sporadically - when there are interesting discounts and offers.
Personally, Perekrestok is not my favorite store.
Their assortment is quite limited, and the price is not always pleasing without a discount, so I only use the service if I see a good offer.
The ready-to-eat food there tastes bad to me personally, the assortment is not impressive.
The app interface is acceptable for me, although not the most convenient.
It looks like everything is nicely designed, but in fact, I open the section and see a very limited assortment.
Perekrestok Delivery review Perekrestok Delivery St. Petersburg reviewThe easiest way to find a product is to search for it, or you can scan the barcode and find out if the product is in stock.
How to find a product in the Perekrestok Delivery appStill, the most generous discounts are usually only available in stores and not always is the product in stock when customers arrive.
So, I search for discounts in the app and only then can I order something.
Five Guys delivery works I used to love Five Guys' delivery service when it was still growing.
They'd throw in some small freebies with my order, like a packet of pickling spice in my summer order.
I'm not a big fan of pickling, but someone out there might have appreciated the gesture.
Five Guys delivery product reviewThere were times when they'd throw in some coffee and spices that I'd never buy myself.
I guess back then, the service was trying to win over a loyal customer – with so many delivery options available now, competition is fierce, and you need to stand out somehow.
Delivery from the Five Guys storeThe Five Guys store is just around the corner, so I assumed delivery would be quick, and my order would be brought by a bike courier.
There were some delays, but that wasn't the worst part.
One time, the courier mixed up the packages and delivered someone else's order to me.
But then, the courier came back, picked it up, and eventually brought my order after all.
This time, my order arrived on time – and it was even the right one!
I ordered something today, and when I placed the order, I specified that if an item was out of stock, they shouldn't call me – just remove it from the order.
I ordered groceries from Perekrestok with delivery Grocery delivery from PerekrestokFirst things first, I check what I got.
I'm pleased to see that everything is neatly arranged and organized - that's a plus. Still, it's always a good idea to double-check everything.
Since the order is assembled by people, they might not put everything in correctly or mix things up.
It's way easier to catch any mistakes right away.
Perekrestok delivery reviewAnd here's what I got this time around:
Perekrestok home delivery from the storeWhen I check the manufacturing date, I'm shocked - they delivered a product that's past its expiration date.
The expiration date was two months ago, and that's exactly when this jam should have been removed from the shelves.
What Perekrestok delivered in January 2026It looks like the store is trying to get rid of expired products by delivering them to customers.
There is a discount, though.
Home delivery of products from Perekrestok directly I've never had any issues with expired products being sold, as long as the store manager is on the ball.
They actually remove expired items from the shelves and dispose of them properly.
However, I've seen some shady characters rummaging through the store's trash cans to scavenge for food.
They break the lock on the dumpster and help themselves to whatever they can find.
It's not something I want to see, and I think it's completely unacceptable.
The store should be selling fresh products, not expired ones that are meant for the trash.
When I checked the expiration dates of the other products in my order, everything was in order.
So, I decided to take a closer look and see if I could find a way to resolve the issue.
Fortunately, the Perekrestok app does have a return button, but it's not as straightforward as I'd like.
Order with free delivery from PerekrestokI'm usually met with a chatbot, which saves customer support operators from dealing with angry customers.
So, I take a photo of the product and write about everything in the chat.
I get a response relatively quickly.
Here's the short version: we processed the return, you'll get your money back, and we'll give you a 100-ruble promo code.
I'm speechless - that's generosity!
Apparently, this promo code is meant to motivate me to order again.
What's worth noting is that free delivery isn't always free; sometimes it's paid, and the price decreases with the order total.
How customer support resolves delivery issues with Perekrestok Returning money for a delayed product How to return money for a product with free delivery from PerekrestokWhile I'm waiting for my money back, I check my order and see that the marzipan I ordered is missing.
Usually, in all apps, if a product is out of stock or has been returned, there's a note about it.
Here, the order is simply deleted, as if it never existed.
I didn't get my mango, and there's no note saying it's out of stock.
I highly recommend taking screenshots of your order before and after it's been processed.
As it turns out, the total cost of the order was less than the original amount.
Order delivery from PerekrestokAfter submitting a return request, my order looked like this.
Order delivery from Perekrestok
Perekrestok delivery orderI checked how much was deducted from my card - 1240 rubles 42 kopecks.
This amount, which should have been taken into account for the mango that wasn't included.
So, the service deducts the full amount, and then you wait 1-7 days for a return, great idea.
It looks like the store is trying to get rid of expired products by delivering them to customers.
There is a discount, though.
Delivery from Perekrestok reviewUsually, delivery services have some positive aspects, but after what happened, I couldn't find anything positive about this service.
The uncomfortable app, limited product selection, removal of order items without notifications, overcharging for the order, and the lack of a 'return item' button - all this is about the delivery from Perekrestok.
The only good thing is that they don't charge extra for the packaging.
I'd recommend choosing more convenient options.
