Polaris PMG 2050: A Product That Failed to Meet My Expectations
My friend recently showed me his Polaris PMG 2050, and I was surprised by how compact the device is. However, I have my doubts about the claimed 2000-watt power output. While it's impressive for a model of this size, I think it's exaggerated.
When I turned on the device, I was shocked by how loud it was. I measured the noise level using my smartphone, and it ranged from 88 to 91 decibels. That's far too loud! The maximum allowed noise level for household appliances should not exceed 85 decibels. This is a significant issue that caught my attention right away.
I disassembled the motor and what I found was shocking. The claimed 2000-watt power output is nowhere near the actual performance. It's only around 250-300 watts, and even under load, it won't reach 800 watts. This is a clear case of deception! And that's not all - I also discovered that the reducer is made of plastic and has already started to malfunction after just a few months of use. This is a clear sign of poor workmanship.
I also measured the resistance of the motor's commutator and found it to be 1.9 ohms. This is far too high and will lead to overheating under load. This is another reason why I cannot recommend this product.
After reassembling the device, I would advise people to be cautious when choosing household appliances and to pay attention to the manufacturer's claims. It's not always as it seems, and I'm glad I didn't opt for this product.
