We had booked flights from Istanbul to Paris, but the airline managed to mess up our travel plans in a major way.
We had paid for our tickets and seats, checked in online, and even received confirmation emails. But when we arrived at the airport, things quickly took a turn for the worse.
The first check-in staff member told us she couldn't see our tickets, and sent us to a 'customer care' desk. That's where the real problems started.
The line was enormous, and everyone around us was getting increasingly frustrated. We were told that the airline's system had automatically cancelled our tickets and supposedly processed a refund. However, we never received any email or notification about it.
