I'm stoked to share my thoughts on the app "Differences (Find the Differences)". To be honest, it's been a while since I've come across a project that genuinely impressed me, and I'm excited to give it a shoutout. But, as you can probably guess, we're living in some wild times, and even free cheese isn't always free. In other words, the only reason I'm complaining is because of the annoying ads. Thanks for keeping them from popping up during gameplay, but I did catch them between levels.

It's the little things, but they can be a real nuisance. Otherwise, this game is a gem – it delivers exactly what the devs promised without any of the usual marketing fluff. No fake gameplay videos generated by AI or trying to pass off someone else's mechanics as their own. What you see is what you get, and I'm genuinely impressed by how well the marketing team and PR folks did their job. I mean, it's not often that you see a game that actually lives up to its promises and the trailer. Usually, it's the opposite.

So, if you're looking for the features you saw in the trailer, you won't find them in the app, sadly.

For me, finding the difference on the images wasn't a challenge. I'd mentally break down the image into separate areas. First, I'd focus on the top, then the sides, and so on. This helps me stay focused and not miss anything. Because sometimes your eyes can wander, and you'll miss an obvious discrepancy. I know what I'm talking about – it's happened to me more than once, haha!

I've also got a sneaky tactic up my sleeve. I love busting it out towards the end, when most of the differences have already been found. I just tap the screen, and it's no big deal. There's no limit to the number of 'failed attempts' – you can tap away to your heart's content, and nothing will happen. With this simple method, I was able to close a few levels, haha! And no, it's not cheating or against the rules – the app actually allows it. So, as a player, I'm just making the most of the game's features.

And finally, there's the option to spend the coins you've earned on level completion to get a hint. It'll cost you 10 coins, and after you win, you'll have the choice to take 5 coins or watch an ad to multiply your coin reward by a random factor – I've dubbed this 'the luck meter' in my head, although I'm not sure what the devs actually call it, haha!

Or, if you're out of coins, you can watch an ad to get a hint that'll point you in the right direction. But honestly, the decision is pretty obvious – just tap away randomly until you find the difference, haha! Ultimately, it's up to you.

So, when I'm talking about levels, there are a few 'difficulty levels' here. Starting from the 'easy' ones - you've got one image on screen, and once you're done, you move on to the next one - and ending with the 'hard' ones. The difference is basically that the harder levels have multiple images instead of just one. And yeah, there are fewer inconsistencies and discrepancies. I'd even say that the harder levels are a bit faster to get through. There's less variability, so you'll find the difference sooner. Yeah, the 'difficulty' is that you get a bonus for completing three levels, but I barely used any coins. Because, honestly, they're not really necessary. And the ads? Forget about it. If you're stuck and can't find the last difference, just tap on the blank areas, and you'll be done in no time - I mean, 30 seconds max. One thing I noticed about 'Differences (Find the differences)' is that the images have some style and drawing differences. Some are pretty basic, while others are more detailed. And a few times, I even got what looked like real photos. But it's not a big deal, and it doesn't make it harder to find the differences. Don't worry about it : ) I've gotta say, the complexity of the level doesn't affect my experience at all. It's more of a stylistic choice by the devs to make the game a bit more diverse for players. I'm actually one of those people who's always complaining about the lack of creativity in games, and this one does a great job of shaking things up. Okay, I think that's all I have to say about the mechanics and features of the game. The only con I can think of is a minor one, but since this is just my personal opinion, I'm gonna dock a point for it. That's my two cents, anyway!
But overall, this is a solid app. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and I found myself getting sucked in for hours. But what really caught my eye was the "Differences" mode. It's not exactly a game-changer, but it's a nice little bonus feature. Essentially, it's a simple game where you find the differences between two images. No timers, no penalties for mistakes - you can take all the time you need to find every difference.

I mean, who doesn't love a good challenge? And the best part is, it's actually really soothing. It requires a lot of attention and focus, but it's not stressful at all. After weighing the pros and cons, I think this app definitely deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The ads did take away from the experience a bit, but not enough to make me hate the devs or anything. And hey, I'm just glad to see that minimalism can be done right in mobile gaming.I've gotta give it up for this app - it's a breath of fresh air when it comes to quality. When a project doesn't try to cram every genre into one thing and doesn't overload the game with unnecessary mechanics or 'features', that's when you know you're onto something special.
