My review of Uzun Bir Gece (2020) is still fresh in my mind, and I'm still reeling from the experience.
For those who may not know, this film stars an actor who's familiar to many - think of him as the father of Sami Vincenter in İyilerle Kötüler or Nigana in Yüksek.
Genre is one of my favorite types of movies - Detektif (Detective) films that combine elements of Suç (Crime) and Drama. While Uzun Bir Gece does have some dramatic elements, they're not fully developed, and the film's primary focus is on the detective work.
I was a bit skeptical about the trailer, which seemed to promise a lot of action and suspense. However, the film itself is relatively tame, with most of the tension coming from the characters' interactions and dialogue.
