A Refreshing Take on Goal Setting: My Experience with the Remarklee Smart Planner

As I sit down to write this review, I'm reminded of the profound impact my mom's passing had on my life. It was a turning point that made me reevaluate my priorities and seek ways to make the most of the time I have. That's when I discovered the Remarklee Smart Planner, a tool that has helped me stay organized and focused on my goals.

Four and a half years ago, I ordered the planner on Wildberries, but at the time, it was sold under the brand name My PPlanner. After my mom's passing, I realized that this planner was exactly what I needed to take charge of my life and make my dreams a reality. The content of the planner remained the same, even after the brand name change to Remarklee.

The Remarklee Smart Planner is not your average daily planner. It doesn't break down into daily or date-specific tasks. Instead, it focuses on more global plans and goals, which I'll explain in detail below.

When I received my planner, I was impressed by the sturdy cardboard box and the inspiring inscription 'Dream. Plan. Act.' The pink cover with peonies design matched my romantic personality, and I loved how easy it was to wipe clean.

The pages are connected with plastic rings, which I initially found challenging to write on, but I got used to it over time. The paper is white, thin, but of good quality, and the edges aren't sharp, making it comfortable to write on. The pages are surprisingly durable, considering their thinness.

The planner starts with a 'Wish List' section, where you can write down your desires and dreams. This section helped me clarify my goals and make them more concrete. Next, the creators included the main principles of a personal SWOT analysis, leaving space for you to complete it yourself.

One feature that stood out to me was the balance wheel, which is present in every single one of these planners. This unique tool helps you balance different areas of your life and set SMART goals. The planner also includes a pin-up calendar, which is a great way to motivate yourself and track your progress.

I've been using this planner for a while now, and I love how it includes a vision board. You can fill in the blank squares with your plans and desires, and I was amazed to find that 50% of the things I wanted 4 years ago have actually come true.

The planner also includes a clever technique for avoiding procrastination, known as 'eating a frog.' It's not easy to get into, but it works. Another feature I appreciate is the habit tracker, which makes it easy to keep track of your wake-up and bedtime, water intake, and daily step count month by month.

The planner also lets you track your measurements, log your workout schedule, track your charging sessions, and note down your massage appointments. The creators have even thought of a way to create a shopping list (by category), and there's a healthy eating tracker.

Of course, no planner would be complete without a section on self-care, especially for girls. You can systematize your skincare routine, track your face masks and body scrubs, and even log your monthly hair appointments.

I love how I can add my favorite books to a special section called 'My Bookshelf.' It's also super handy to track my reading progress and jot down my favorite quotes. If you're a movie buff, you'll love the 'Movies and TV Shows' section, where you can create your own rating system.

The daily to-do lists are super helpful, and it's amazing how much you can accomplish in a day. Plus, it's a great way to see where you're slacking off. The wardrobe audit checklist is also super useful, helping you keep track of what you need to buy.

Travel plans are also well-covered in this planner, with a travel map where you can plan out your next adventure. I love how the planner has a section for making lists for trips, and you can always add to them if needed. Plus, there's a section for noting down cool spots in your city.

If you play the '52 Weeks to Wealth' game, you might just win some extra cash. Plus, there are some really useful pages for tracking your income and expenses.

And finally, the smart planner wraps up with yearly goals and year in review. I added a few colorful planners and a sticker sheet to my daily planner to give it a bit of personality.

So, how did it work out in practice? I got really into it for a month, filling everything out at once. Then, for another month, I only focused on the things that interested me (tracking self-care, cleaning, water balance, setting parameters, and income and expenses). But then, amidst the daily grind, I just didn't have time to fill it out anymore, and I set the planner aside for four years, almost five. But now, I'm in a phase where I want to do more, track my discipline, and fix my habits. Luckily, there are plenty of free templates in the planner, so I'm back to using it. And, who knows, maybe it'll be the same for you. Nobody said you have to use it for a whole year, after all.

Of course, you could get by without a planner like this. It's not something you need, but the smart planner is interesting, unique, and actually motivating. If you're considering it as a gift, I wouldn't recommend it - it's hard to predict whether someone will like this kind of format. But if you're interested and the price of $1,500 is okay for you, go for it. It'll be a fun experience!
