I'm not exactly an oceanarium fanatic, but my family and I were totally stoked by our visit to this place in Pattaya. The 30-minute walk from our hotel in Jomtien wasn't bad, and we appreciated the policy of charging foreigners a bit more to keep the crowds down. When we got in, we were immediately hit with a semi-outdoor area under a canopy, and it was pretty hot - there were only a few fans to cool us down. But then we walked through a tunnel and, let me tell you, it was totally worth it. The oceanarium has a great selection of marine life, including some really cool sharks and rays. We spent hours exploring the exhibits and learning about the importance of marine conservation. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and they seemed to really care about the animals. We even got to see some interactive displays and a play area for kids. It's a great place to visit with the whole family.

I'm not exactly an oceanarium fanatic, but my family and I decided to check out this place in Pattaya after spending a week in Jomtien. It was about a 30-minute walk from our hotel, which wasn't too bad. We bought our tickets, and I appreciate the policy of charging foreigners a bit more - it keeps the crowds down. We waited for about 5-7 minutes in line, and then we were in.
When you first get in, you're immediately hit with a semi-outdoor area under a canopy, and it's pretty hot - there are only a few fans to cool you down. I was sweating bullets, to be honest.
But then you walk through a tunnel and find yourself in a cool, air-conditioned area with all the aquariums - that's where the magic happens.
You can feed these fish for a small fee using a bottleThe marine life is absolutely incredible - the shapes, colors, and textures are just amazing. The further you walk through the labyrinth, the more impressive and intimidating the fish become.
As you walk around, you're constantly amazed by the fish, and then... BAM! You're hit with a jewelry store. I mean, I'm all for a good souvenir, but it's a bit jarring after the peaceful aquariums.
But then you see more fish, and some really interesting exhibits.
There are also feeding times, which are pretty cool - some of the fish are already stuffed, but it's still a great thing to watch.
On the way out, you can see some more fish, otters, parrots, and a cafe if you want to sit down and enjoy the heat. The exit is, of course, through the gift shop - this time with clothing and souvenirs. The prices aren't exactly cheap.
I was totally stoked by this oceanarium - it's not just for kids! The marine life is incredible, and the variety of exhibits is seriously impressive. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Pattaya.
