My Hands-On Review of the Noyafa NF-613 Endoscope: Why I Prefer It Over USB Options

Hello! Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the Noyafa NF-613 endoscope. I've had some experience with this brand before, and I've come to expect a certain level of quality for the price. Don't get me wrong, it's not going to blow you away with its build quality, but it gets the job done without breaking the bank. If you need a reliable endoscope without spending an arm and a leg, this one's a solid choice.

Why Not a USB Endoscope?

At first glance, a USB endoscope seems like a no-brainer - just plug it into your phone, take a look, and you're done. But there are a few things to consider:

You're not always going to be in a situation where you can just whip out your phone and take a look. Sometimes you need to get up close and personal with whatever you're inspecting. And that's where a more traditional endoscope comes in handy.USB-powered endoscopes tend to have a slightly lower battery life. I mean, it's not a huge deal, but it's something to keep in mind. The light just isn't as bright as it would be with a dedicated battery.Let's face it - those USB connections can be pretty flimsy. I've had my fair share of endoscopes that just stopped working after a few months because the cable broke. Not ideal.On the other hand, a dedicated endoscope is generally easier to use. Just turn it on and you're good to go. No fuss, no muss.That being said, I do have some arguments in favor of USB endoscopes:

They're compact and lightweight, making them easy to toss into a toolbox or bag.They're often cheaper than traditional endoscopes. I mean, who doesn't love saving a buck?They're great for quick, casual inspections. Just plug it in, take a look, and you're done.For me, the downsides of USB endoscopes far outweigh the benefits. I need something that's going to hold up to regular use, and a dedicated endoscope is just more reliable. That being said, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who would disagree with me. And that's okay. Now, let's talk about the Noyafa NF-613 in particular. I've been using it for a while now, and I've got some thoughts to share.

The Price is 4,000 Rubles, if you're buying from a high-end retailer like ChIP and Dip. You can find it cheaper elsewhere, but be prepared to wait. If you need it now, it's worth paying the extra few bucks. I've seen it go for as low as 2,500 Rubles if you're willing to wait.

The Package is pretty bare-bones, but I like it that way. You get the endoscope, a charging cable (which is basically disposable), and an instruction manual. Simple, yet effective.

Features. The endoscope itself is pretty standard fare for a low-end model. It's not going to blow you away with its build quality, but it gets the job done. A few things I'd like to mention:

I found the 5-meter length to be a bit too long, but 2 meters wasn't an option, so I had to go with this one.The LED light is great, and the brightness is adjustable – it's more than enough for complete darkness.It does have some water resistance (on the lens), but I haven't tested it in the water, so I can't say how reliable it is.It runs on a battery, and I found that a single charge lasts for around 2-3 hours of continuous use, depending on the brightness – I like to keep at least half a charge in case I need it.The 2.8-inch screen seems small, but if you have normal vision, it's fine. If you have vision problems, it might be a bit tricky to use.The 1280x720 resolution is just right for what I need – I've seen a USB endoscope with the same resolution, but the image was grainier and darker.I didn't notice a huge difference in the 70-degree field of view, so I won't comment further on that.The 4-10cm focal length range is perfect for a budget endoscope – it's great for close-up work and a bit of distance too. Anything closer or farther would be unnecessary, in my opinion.The 8mm lens diameter is a nice touch.As for things that aren't related to the specs:

The semi-rigid cable is a nice feature – it's flexible enough to get into tight spaces.The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold.The screen brightness is just right – not too dim, not too bright.The zoom feature is a nice bonus, even though I don't think I'll use it that often.The reinforced cable bend area is a nice touch – it gives me some peace of mind.In practical use, this thing has been a lifesaver for getting into tight spaces, finding leaks, and spotting holes. It's a lot easier to use when working horizontally, but I often have to work vertically, which can be a bit tricky – I have to hold the cable with one hand and the camera with the other.

Verdict: for home use, it's more than enough for 300 rubles; for work, if you don't mind replacing it occasionally, it's a good option. The battery life is great – you only need to charge it every now and then (about 5-10 minutes per use). The image quality is fine, and the daylight range of the LED light is nice. The long cable (which is a bit too long for me) is a nice feature. For the price, it's a solid choice – even compared to Chip and Dip.
