Our family and I were on the hunt for a hotel in Larnaka that fit our needs. We had a few key criteria in mind when making our selection.
First and foremost, we wanted a hotel that offered the option to pay upon arrival and the ability to make a reservation without having to pay upfront, as this can be a bit of a risk in the current market. We also wanted a hotel that offered good value for money, with a low price point but still excellent reviews.Lastly, we were looking for a hotel with a pool, as my wife is a big fan of swimming and it's a must-have for her when it comes to a family vacation.
The exterior of the hotel, which is an old buildingSea N Lake View ticked all of our boxes, but one thing did raise some concerns: the lack of communication. We had initially thought that we would be staying in one room, but then we realized that we would need to book a second room for our guests. Unfortunately, there was no way to communicate with the hotel staff, which made it difficult to make the necessary arrangements.
The view from my window, which I preferred over the other roomDespite the initial hiccup, we were pleased with our stay at Sea N Lake View. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were also impressed with the hotel's location, which was within walking distance to the beach and the town center.
A cozy spot under the roof, perfect for a cup of coffee or a smokeThe hotel's old building was a bit of a surprise, but we were charmed by its unique architecture. The hotel's design was reminiscent of traditional Greek villas, with each room having its own distinct character. The small courtyard area outside each room was a lovely touch, and we enjoyed spending time there.
The key to our room, which was a bit unusualThe key to our room was a bit of an oddity, as it was attached to a keyboard-like strap that you had to use to unlock the door and turn on the lights.
Our room was located on the ground floor, and it had a small kitchenette, a living area, and a bedroom. The bed was comfortable, and the TV had 17 channels, although they were all in Greek. There was no air conditioning, but a large fan was installed in the ceiling.
The kitchenette was well-equipped, with a small fridge, a microwave, a toaster, and a kettle. There were also plenty of utensils and dishes available. A small laundry machine was located in a closet near the entrance, which was a nice touch. The stairs leading up to the second floor were a bit steep, but the view from the top was worth it. The second floor had a small living area and a bathroom.
The beds were a bit on the small side, but the pillows and mattresses were very comfortable.
The room had a few amenities, including a small desk, a chair, and a closet. We were also able to store our valuables and money safely in the room.
One thing that was a bit of a letdown was the lack of an adapter for the electrical outlets. We had to purchase one ourselves, which was a bit of an inconvenience.
The bathroom, which was clean and well-maintainedThe bathroom was spotless and well-appointed, with a shower, a sink, and a toilet. There was also a hair dryer and a few toiletries available.
The view from the new building and the pool areaThe pool was a highlight of our stay, and we spent many hours lounging by the water. The pool was small but clean, and the water was a comfortable 38 degrees Celsius. We also appreciated the pool lights, which made the area look beautiful at night.
There was also a shower near the pool, which was a nice touch. The water was clean and warm, making it a pleasure to use.
We were within walking distance to the beach and the town center, which was a big plus. The hotel was also close to a few restaurants and shops, making it easy to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping.
The breakfast options were limited, but the food was delicious. We opted for the continental breakfast, which was lighter and more to our liking.
The continental breakfastWe enjoyed our stay at Sea N Lake View, and we would definitely recommend it to others. The hotel's unique architecture and beautiful pool area made it a standout, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The English-style breakfastHowever, we did find the breakfast options to be a bit limited, and the food was a bit too rich for our taste.
We also enjoyed the hotel's bar, where we had a few drinks and snacks throughout the day. The prices were a bit steep, but the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Sea N Lake View, and we would definitely recommend it to others.
