As soon as I saw it on the website, I fell in love with it at first sight and ordered it, ignoring the high price. Despite having calendars with note-taking apps on my phone and computer, I really needed a printed version that I could keep in front of me. Not because I'm out of touch, as my son likes to joke, but because it's just more convenient and familiar. Plus, I prefer writing down important events and plans by hand rather than typing them. For some reason, handwritten information sticks better.
The calendar-planner is produced by the Russian souvenir brand 'Kasyanovart', named after Novosibirsk artist Boris Kasyanov, who creates these amazing, colorful illustrations that bring joy and positivity.
When I first saw these cat illustrations, I immediately thought of the film 'The Big Eyes' (2014) by Tim Burton - a biographical drama about American artist Margaret Keane, known for her paintings of characters with large eyes. The artwork is stunning, and the film is just as great. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. Maybe Boris Kasyanov was inspired by Keane's work or the film when creating his big-eyed cats.

One of my favorite things about this calendar is that you can easily stick it on your fridge when it's folded up. Since my kitchen doubles as my home office, I actually use it in this format all the time. The magnet is strong enough to hold it securely, but I've got plenty of them lying around, so it's not a problem.

But recently, my husband ordered this same calendar as a gift for our relatives on Wildberries for 535 rubles. So before you make a purchase, be sure to compare prices on different websites. In both cases, the calendars arrived in perfect condition, without any creases or bends. And while the one from Wildberries came wrapped in a standard plastic sleeve, the one from Ozon was extra-packaged in a corrugated cardboard box.
The reverse side of the calendar features all the cat illustrations that are included for each month, so you can take a look and decide if you like them before making a purchase. I deliberately didn't order the snake calendar, which is the symbol for the upcoming year, because no matter how cute they look, snakes are my biggest phobia from childhood - I even get nervous thinking about the wise old snake Kaa from the Mowgli movie.
In addition to being a super practical planner, this calendar is also a great decoration for any room.
