Editor's Summary
Specifications
I recorded that when we went out of town for 2 weeks, we left our cat with a friend nearby to take care of it. But it turned out that the person who took care of it didn't know how to handle it. I think many people believe that dogs stink to their owners, but cats to their places. Maybe some pets don't attach to their owners, but it's not the case with our Oriental cats, as you can read in this article!
Just before our trip ended, the person taking care of our cat sent us photos with questions. What should we do? The photos showed wounds on its ear. There were only two days left before we returned, so I told them not to do anything. Upon arrival, we were surprised to see that its ear was inflamed and swollen. I gave it a little Zodaca, and the next day, its ear was back to normal. However, there were transparent pustules inside the ear that later burst and left bleeding wounds. Then, blisters formed.
The worst part was that our cat had been scratching its ears with its hind legs. The result was that it bled again and new blisters appeared.
We had two options: give it many toys and flavored food, or make it feel bored by my absence. When I became desperate, I decided to take it to the vet.
In summary, the vet told us that it was likely a tick infestation. The only advice was to treat the tick infestation.
It didn't work. I bought all the products they recommended, including medications to reduce the cat's stress and a product to eliminate ticks, and even cleaned its ears. But nothing worked.
It was then that I decided to enter an online community to seek help. I was looking for a product that could alleviate the itching and inflammation in my cat's ear. And I found it.
Therefore, I recommend Apicenna Stopp-zud suspension for cats.
Where to buy : online Price : around 500 rubles Weight : 10 ml Country of production : Russia Expiration date : 2 years
Packaging
The box is made of cardboard, with a plastic bottle inside. The cap is made of plastic with a relief design to facilitate opening. What caught my attention is that there is also a syringe for measuring the dose and, of course, the usage instructions.
Usage
""blockquote>The dosage and method of application of the Stop-zud suspension are administered to animals periodically in the morning with a small amount of food or are introduced into the oral cavity by force using a dosing syringe 1 time a day based on: for cats weighing between 1 and 3 kg - 0.25 ml per animal, and over 3 kg - 0.5 ml per animal. It is essential to avoid passing the dose, as this may lead to a decrease in its effectiveness.
I found it very difficult to give the suspension to the cat in the morning, I rather did it at night.
🌿 Composition
The active ingredient is triamcinolone, pyridoxine, riboflavin, nicotinamide, methionine 1mg/2mg/4mg/10mg/20mg
🌿Manufacturer's Description
The Stop zud suspension for oral administration is prescribed to cats for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic skin diseases (krapivnitsa, atopic dermatitis, eczema, diffuse neurodermatitis, scabies, alopecia, infected dermatitis, insect bites)
🌿Instructions
🌿 Consistency, color, and aroma
The suspension is quite thick, similar to a kefir liquid.
The color is intense yellow
Intense aroma, I wouldn't say it's very unpleasant, but it hits the nose.
🌿 My experience with Stop-zud
I administered 2.5 ml for 4 days, as indicated in the instructions, and then half the dose for another 8 days.
It was very challenging because the cat realized I was doing it and why I was approaching it every time, although I tried to be very discreet.
Here's a photo before - the intermediate result. Exactly in 2 days, it stopped shaking its ears and didn't lick them as intensely, and for the first time, I could sleep without it waking me up with the stress of ear licking.
The cat finally started coming to sleep with me. Before starting with the Stop zud, the cat was very restless, couldn't find a place to rest, and wouldn't let me sleep in peace.
The medication gives results practically immediately.
Here's a photo below - it's from yesterday. Most of the pustules have gone, the cat is more lively, and sleeps well.
I was afraid that after stopping it, everything would start again. And on the edges of the ears, just after stopping it, 2 small pustules appeared, but they went away.
I feel relieved. Now I understand that taking my cat to the vet was a complete waste of time. The only good thing that came out of it was that they inspected its ears and confirmed it wasn't a tick infestation.
It's worth noting that my cat's itching was related to stress. I don't know how the suspension would work in different situations.
In summary, I would definitely recommend this affordable and effective remedy.
