UV LED Lamp for Gel and Gel Polish Curing Sun X 5 Plus

I used to have an older UV lamp for curing gel and old nail polish. It had huge ultraviolet light sources.

Although the lamp was nice-looking, it took ages to dry the gel! Each layer took 2 minutes to dry. I did a few manicures, and the lamp was always occupied for a long time. Meanwhile, I was going to nail salons where the lamps dried the gel in 15-30 seconds. I kept going to the salons until I had kids. It became inconvenient to adjust my schedule to the salon's, so I decided to try doing my own nail care again. This time, I approached the idea more seriously! I bought a nail care device and a larger nail polish set.

My Experience

I compared the Sun X 5 Plus to more expensive models, and I can confidently say it matches their performance.

The lamp is compact and looks nice. I particularly like the digital display with a timer, which makes it easy to set the drying time. The four buttons allow you to set the time to 10, 30, 60, or 99 seconds. If you don't press the buttons, the lamp will automatically set the maximum time of 120 seconds (2 minutes).

The lamp 'remembers' the set mode and will automatically turn on the set time for drying. You can reset the time, and the lamp will default to the maximum 120 seconds.

The lamp is not molded, and the top part is removable, featuring 36 LED beads.

The package includes an adapter and an instruction manual.

The adapter is model ZG-2420. It has a nominal input of 100-240V, 50-60Hz, and a nominal output of DC12V.

I was a bit disappointed with the adapter's length. It's a bit short, especially when doing pedicures.

I also liked the sensor in the lamp. It automatically turns on when you insert your hand and turns off when you remove it.
