Last year, I had a pink obsession. I wanted a pink bag, and I wanted my husband to buy it for me. I had to have a pink one, no other color would do. It was right before my birthday, and I was dreaming of the perfect gift. The conditions were simple: natural leather and the right color. But finding the perfect shade of pink is harder than you think.
I couldn't find anything that matched my vision, and the deadline was looming. Either the color was off, the shape was wrong, or the material was subpar. So, I ordered another batch of bags from WB, and among them was the MELAN IRIIS Cross-Body Bag with ESSE embossing.
I didn't buy it right away. In fact, I spent about an hour deliberating before I finally decided to pick it up. The color wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was close enough to be described as a dusty rose. The real deciding factor was the leather, though. I loved its soft texture.

The bag's appearance starts with the quality of the leather and its texture. Even though it's not the exact color I was looking for, and it has a slightly strange design with a large 'secret' compartment, it was a pleasure to hold it, to touch its surface. Such tactile experiences won out.
From the front, the bag looks like a postal worker's bag. The back is longer and hangs over the front. Inside, there's a magnet that keeps everything in place.
I love the decorative embossing with flowers or butterflies - it gives the purse a spring-summer vibe. The bottom part has a zipper, which is actually a pretty big hidden pocket. You can stash thin things like cash or receipts in there. I tried to fit an A4 sheet, but it was too wide.
The main compartment is hidden under that pocket and opens with a zipper. It's a single-compartment design with a textile lining and the brand's logo embossed on it. Inside, there are a couple of pockets - one with a zipper and one without.
On the back, there's another pocket with a zipper, so you can stash small items, cash, and documents. I always keep my passport and a small prayer book in there.
The strap is long but thin, so it looks great even with airy materials. It's adjustable with a buckle. Honestly, I found a small drawback in the strap - it's impossible to remove. It's sewn into the bag.
Because the bag doesn't have a rigid shape, you can fill it with everything you need. I've got documents, my phone, a makeup bag, a card holder, a prayer book, keys, and tissues. If needed, I can even fit a small water bottle or a thermal water flask in hot weather.
Compared to my other bags at the time, this one seemed very spacious and practical.
The bag turned out to be comfortable and practical despite its size. The quality is excellent. I've been wearing it for five months, and it hasn't lost its shape or appearance, except for the slight polishing of the corners.
I took it with me on walks, to work, and on various trips. It was comfortable in any situation and at any time.
If needed, I can hide the strap under a 'clutch' and turn the bag into a clutch.
I consider this bag model to be universal. It can be combined with a variety of things and styles. Its color harmonizes with other colors, from light to dark shades.

I was planning to write this review last summer. At that time, I wanted to give this bag four stars. All because of the mysterious secret compartment and the strap that wouldn't unhook. Those were the downsides.
But time went by, and I kept wearing it, conquering new routes, putting aside my favorite yellow summer bag. And gradually, the downsides faded away. They became insignificant, unnoticeable. I fell in love with the bag. Not right away. I mean, it was bought in a rush, trying to make it to my birthday.
In the end, I think it's a great purchase.
I like its appearance and quality. It's been thrown around in so many places, and it still looks amazing, collecting our shared memories.
Considering it's made of natural leather, I think the price is fair and not too expensive.
