Specifications
Hello fellow readers!
I recently found myself in need of a new washing machine freshener, so I headed to Ashan to pick one up. That's where I spotted these big, green bottles from Mama Ultimate - their Spring Meadow freshener caught my eye. The price was a bit steeper than I'd like, around 500-600 rubles for 2.5 liters, but the sale price of 299 rubles for Spring Meadow was a more reasonable 120 rubles per liter. Unfortunately, I won't be finding affordable, fragrant fresheners at this price anytime soon. So, I bought it and, well, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Let me tell you why.
Some background info.
Product Name: Mama Ultimate Washing Machine Freshener Spring Meadow
Price: 299 rubles
Where I bought it: Ashan
Volume: 2.5 liters
Made in: Russia
Storage Conditions: dry, cool place
About the packaging.
The bottle itself is pretty impressive - it's made of recyclable plastic (2HDPE), has a sturdy handle for easy pouring, and the stickers have all the necessary info in large print, which is definitely a plus.
The dosing cap is designed like a measuring cup, but unfortunately, it doesn't specify the volume, which would've been helpful.
About the product.
The liquid itself is white, and it's not a concentrate, which is good. You get the full 2.5 liters of fragrance.
The scent, Spring Meadow, is pretty unremarkable - it's light, floral, and not very strong. And, as it turns out, it doesn't even stay on the laundry. I mean, what's the point of adding a fragrance if it's not going to linger? It's especially noticeable on synthetic fabrics, which usually absorb fragrances more easily. In this case, even my kid's sweater didn't smell like anything.
This is especially weird, given that the product is based on natural minerals. I guess you can use it on any fabric except wool and silk, but that's not exactly a selling point for me.
I'm glad I didn't pay full price, because I would've been really disappointed. And, to be honest, I don't think I'll be buying any other fragrances from this line. This washing machine freshener is a total letdown - it gets 3 points only because of the packaging.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you find a better washing machine freshener than I did.
