Editor's Summary
I'm obsessed with Ex Nihilo's perfumes, and Lust in Paradise is definitely one of the best. This feminine scent falls into the floral woody musk category, with a unique combination of notes that'll transport you to paradise. The pyramid of notes is where it gets really interesting - pink pepper leads the way, followed by pion, lychee, and petalia in the middle notes, and musk, white cedar extract, and amber in the base notes. I've been wearing it for a week now, and I gotta say, it's been a total game changer.
Specifications
Hello everyone!
I'm a big fan of Ex Nihilo perfumes, and most of the scents I've tried have really won me over. Lust in Paradise is definitely one of the best from this brand.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewLust in Paradise is a feminine scent that falls into the floral woody musk category. It was released in 2019, and the perfumer behind it is Louise Turner.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewThe pyramid of notes:
Top notes:
Pink pepper;
Middle notes:
Pion, Lychee, and Petalia
Base notes:
Musk, White Cedar Extract, and Amber
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewWhen I spritz Lust in Paradise on my clothes, it's got a delicate and elegant trail. I can clearly smell the pion, rose, and a hint of lychee. The pion is fresh and cold, like it's straight from the stem and leaves, and I don't know how to explain the abundance of green notes in the scent. Through this floral freshness, the musk from the base notes peeks through, making the scent slightly warmer. On my clothes, I prefer this scent more than on my skin, as it's lighter, fresher, and more delicate, while on my skin, it develops so strongly that it becomes overwhelming.
On my skin, initially, there are notes of crystal freshness that blend with the floral notes. The rose and pion are equally prominent. Then, the freshness of the green notes gives way to soft musk. If you apply the scent in small doses, it's pleasant and unobtrusive, but when you apply it more heavily, it becomes suffocating.
I don't find any similarities with Fleur Narcotique, and it's more in line with Delina Rosee, with a hint of Burberry Her eau de toilette in its nuances. However, the scents are still distinct.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewThis eau de toilette has a strong sillage and high longevity. I remember the first time I tested the scent, I applied it on my wrist in the evening, and I enjoyed it throughout the night, and was surprised to find it still noticeable in the morning, over 12 hours later. On my clothes, it can last for several days.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewLust in Paradise is a feminine scent with no age restrictions. I think it's more suitable for evening wear due to its strength, but it can be worn as a daily scent during cooler months. In warmer weather, it's too overpowering, so I'd recommend it for fall and winter. This eau de toilette would make a great festive scent. I'd choose it without hesitation for a night out or a special occasion.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewYou can purchase Lust in Paradise eau de toilette from Golden Apple, Riv Gosh, IM Randevu, and other retailers.
It costs around 16,000 rubles for a 50ml bottle.
It's also available in a 100ml size.
Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise reviewI really enjoyed Lust in Paradise, and it's a solid 5 out of 5. However, I wouldn't recommend buying it without trying it first. It starts off fresh and deceivingly subtle, but it develops into something overpowering and loud. I think this scent is beautiful, but I wouldn't want it in large quantities. I'm not sure if it's unique in its kind, as I've encountered similar scents before, even in the luxury niche. Nevertheless, I'd recommend Lust in Paradise to fans of floral scents.
