I recently hired an animator from The Iron Man for my kid's birthday party, and I've got to say, it was a mixed bag. The animator was friendly, professional, and did a great job keeping the kids entertained. They even threw in some extra activities that weren't part of the original program, which was a nice touch. The kids had a blast, and I'm grateful for that.
However, there was a major letdown. The program we paid for wasn't fully delivered. I'm not sure why they would promise more than they can deliver, but it's frustrating when you're expecting a certain level of service. I had chosen this company over another one that was cheaper because they promised a more comprehensive program and some extra perks. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
Let's break down what we got and what we expected. We paid for a pretty comprehensive program, but it seemed like they were missing a few key elements. The grand entrance was just the animator showing up in a costume, which was cool, I guess. The kids loved interacting with the animator, though - that was definitely a highlight. The fun icebreaker was a nice way to get everyone involved, and the music accompaniment was a nice touch. But we were really looking forward to some of the other activities, like the 3D parachute and the balloon popper games. Unfortunately, those didn't make an appearance.
We did get some team-building activities, which were fun, and the kids enjoyed making balloon animals and having a balloon fight.
We also got a mini bubble show, but the animator's attempt at some bubble tricks didn't quite work out.
The animator brought out the cake, which was a nice touch, but we were really looking forward to some of the other activities that didn't show up.
And, of course, there were the promised bonuses - but those didn't materialize either.
I want to emphasize that the animator themselves did a great job and were very professional. My issue is with the company's management for not delivering on their promises. If you're going to promise something, make sure you can deliver it.
It was a decent experience, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend this company to my friends. I mean, the animator was great, but the company's management fell short. Maybe next time they'll get it together.
