Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash

I've tried a bunch of face washes, but this one from Wishtrend really stands out. It's super gentle, yet effective at removing dirt and impurities - even on sensitive skin. The enzyme-based formula works with the green tea to create a rich, milky lather that's a total joy to use. Plus, it's gentle enough for daily use without stripping your skin of its natural oils. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm really impressed with the value for money. The packaging is also super convenient and easy to use - it's a win-win!

A Refreshing Enzyme Foam Cleanser from By Wishtrend

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using By Wishtrend's enzyme foam cleanser for a week now, and I'm really impressed with its gentle yet effective formula. The 140 ml bottle is perfect for daily use, and the 12-month shelf life after opening gives me peace of mind. I love that By Wishtrend is a South Korean brand - it's great to support local businesses. One thing I appreciate is the consistency of the foam, which makes it easy to apply and rinse off. However, I do wish the packaging was more eco-friendly. The ingredients list is quite long, but I'll get into that later. Overall, I'm excited to continue using this cleanser and see how it affects my skin in the long run.

By Wishtrend is a relatively new brand that's been making a splash in the Russian cosmetics market since popping up on shelves about three years ago. While they've only gained massive popularity with a few of their products, like their green tea enzyme powder, toner-exfoliant, and retinol and bakuchiol cream, their product range is seriously impressive – even beauty enthusiasts might be impressed by some of their formulas.
I recently got my hands on their latest release – a gentle enzyme foam cleanser, and I'm excited to share my honest thoughts on it.
Volume: 140 ml
Shelf life: 12 months after opening
Country of origin: South Korea
Ingredients:
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Aqua (Water), Hydrogenated Poly (C6-14 Olefin), Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Lauric Acid, Lauryl Hydroxysultaine, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Palmitic Acid, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Stearic Acid, Potassium Myristate, Hydrated Silica, Potassium Laurate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Stearate, Mannitol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Dextrin, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Papain, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Bromelain, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Beta-Glucan, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Meal Extract, Tocopherol, Ceramide NP, Glycine Max (Soybean) Seed Extract
I'm a big fan of formulas that include antioxidants and soothing ingredients, and this one delivers. It's got green tea, papain, fig extract, centella asiatica, cocoa extract, and beta-glucan – all the good stuff. Plus, it's free from ethanol, silicone oil, artificial colors, and artificial fragrances.
Packaging: The packaging is really nice, with a pleasant color scheme – it's almost like a little piece of art.
The product info is all on the side, but I'm missing the Russian sticker since it came straight from Korea. But that's not a big deal, I can always Google it, especially since the info is in English. The expiration date is printed on the bottom of the packaging. The bottle is made of a soft, greenish plastic that reminds me of matcha. The packaging is transparent, making it easy to keep track of how much product you're using. The pump dispenser isn't my favorite, though. The gel hardens and forms a plug that you need to remove before each use. Organoleptic properties. The gel is quite thick and viscous – it feels like condensed milk to the touch. The aroma is very subtle, and I can pick up notes of green tea and flowers. The consistency is uniform, with no lumps or streaks.
Description from the manufacturer:
I was blown away by how gentle and rich in milk proteins this cleanser is. It's designed to refresh, soften, hydrate, and cleanse your skin. Feeling dry and irritated after washing your face? Don't reach for just any milk cleanser - By Wishtrend's Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash is the answer. The formula is made up of 52% water with green tea extract from leaves grown on Jeju Island, along with a hydrating milk-grain complex. The texture is incredibly pleasant, like a nourishing gel. The unique formula effectively attracts and dissolves dirt, light makeup, and sunscreen.
My skin type: Normal, with some combination issues in the past, and occasional cuperoz.
Before BeforeHow to use:
1) Apply the cleanser, one pump at a time, to damp hands.
2) Gently massage the gel onto your damp face.
3) Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
TIP: For a deeper cleanse, apply the gel directly to your damp face.
My Experience with the Product. I wouldn't recommend using this as a daily alternative to enzyme powder. I use it twice a week, but it's become a part of my morning routine now that I'm using a vitamin C serum. The product loves a well-cleansed and exfoliated skin, so I apply it as instructed – one press on my damp palms, then I whip it up. The lather isn't rich and foamy, but it's incredibly gentle and moisturizing.
One pump is more than enough. Despite the lather's gentle texture and pleasant sensation during washing, I do feel a bit of tightness afterwards, which my toner helps to neutralize. However, I do want to mention this as a drawback. The lather also washes off a bit strangely, leaving me with the feeling that I'm trying to remove oil.
But the results have been amazing. My skin tone has evened out significantly, and after using the toner, I feel an incredible softness.
AfterAfterThe manufacturer also claims that this product is suitable for removing light makeup and sunscreen. As for makeup, I haven't tested it, but it does a great job at removing sunscreen on its own.
One thing I didn't like about this product is the cost. Despite the consistency, the amount you get is pretty big, so it'll last you a maximum of 3 months if you use it 2-3 times a week. Compared to enzyme-based scrubs, they're actually more value for money, as they can sometimes last a whole year.
In the end, I liked the scrub. I'm a fan of trying out deep-cleansing products, especially enzyme-based ones, so this new product didn't disappoint me. However, I wouldn't say it's a staple in my skincare routine, so I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
Pros: Gentle and moisturizing, effective at removing dirt and sunscreen, suitable for normal to combination skin, long-lasting, good value for money.
Tightness after washing, strange washing sensation, high cost.
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
