Why I'm Still Rocking a Kid's Tee with a 12-Year-Old's Design

I've been on the hunt for a cute print for ages, and I've even tried on some cardigans from the adult section, but nothing really caught my eye. I mean, I could've just closed that 'gap' by buying another item with the same duck design I liked, but then I thought about where I'd wear it, and I realized it would only go with jeans or a grey skirt. I couldn't see myself wearing it that often.

Another option with sheep print caught my eye, but I'd only wear it with jeans in the colder months, and I'm more into out-of-season pieces right now. Plus, I already have warm sweaters and cardigans, so I didn't want to spend more. But these lightweight tops are versatile – I can wear them on their own or layered with other pieces.

When I left a review for the grey skirt, I started seeing ads for Fun day store on my feed, and that's when I spotted this long-sleeved top from the kids' section. And on the next day, I rushed to the store to try it on – it's available in a 164 cm size, which is perfect for me at 160 cm.

GENERAL INFORMATION

I bought this long-sleeved shirt in a size 152 cm because it fit me better than the 158 cm version. I know it's a youth model, and kids love oversized clothing, but I prefer fitted clothes, and this one isn't too tight, it's just right.

The 152 cm version fits me well in the sleeves, and it's a bit shorter in the torso, but since I like to wear it over a top, the overall length looks great on me. Inside the package, there were tags with product information that I immediately cut off so they wouldn't get stuck to my skin.

As for the build quality, I have no complaints. I've been wearing this long-sleeved shirt for the first few weeks almost every day, even when it's cold outside, and I just tuck it under a light cardigan, where the hem peeks out.

So, this ordinary, everyday clothing has taken on a new look thanks to the cartoon print, which is super trendy not only in kids' collections but also in adult ones, although many kids wouldn't wear it, especially teenagers who'd rather get a plain black top.

Since we don't have changing rooms in our shopping centers, I have to carry my clothes either in my hands or in a coat or coat on the outside, and this fluffy design looks great peeking out from under my outerwear, catching people's attention.

The long-sleeved shirt is made of a pretty lightweight fabric, regular cotton without any insulation, and it doesn't make sense to depict a goose in a sweater. I'm not sure if this print would be suitable for summer, but for autumn, winter, and early spring, it's perfect when we wear sweaters or tie scarves around our necks and wear snoods.

I'm really into the color combination of this long-sleeved tee, with three active colors: black, white, and brown that fit right into my wardrobe.

MAINTENANCE

I hand-wash this long-sleeved tee because I'm worried that the printed design might crack or peel off if I machine wash it, and that would ruin the whole thing.

I also try not to wring it too hard to avoid damaging the print, and to prevent it from getting creased.

SUMMARY

I've got a bit of a rebellious streak when it comes to aging, and I'm not quite ready to give up my youthful wardrobe just yet. I mean, I'm still rocking the younger stuff, and I'm not making the switch to status-driven pieces that scream 'I'm a grown-up!' I haven't even bought a real fur coat, let alone a long one, and in my circle, that's a big deal – we've been told it's a status symbol for years. But I'm not there yet, and I'm happy to keep being the young-at-heart girl I've always been.

I even wore this long-sleeve to a Mother's Day brunch with my niece because it was a casual, kid-friendly event, and it was perfect for the occasion.
