Hello everyone, and welcome to my review!
Last night, I found myself binge-watching this new series, and I'm still reeling from the experience. I thought I'd just watch a couple of episodes, but after the first one, I knew I had to keep going – I couldn't sleep until I finished it.
The series is called 'Landysh. Such gentle love'. Where can you watch it? How many episodes are there, and will there be a second season?
There are 8 episodes in total, and they're all available on the Wink channel. If you watch the first season, you'll definitely want to see the second – although it hasn't been officially announced yet. I'm guessing we'll see it by the end of the year, and there's even a rumored title: 'Landysh. Second spring'.
So, what's this series about?

I love the simplicity of the storyline, but it's what makes it so engaging. I mean, who wouldn't be captivated by a millionaire heiress who gets dumped by her fiancé on a plane ride from London? I was on the edge of my seat when Katya Orlova discovers her fiancé getting cozy with a flight attendant. Talk about a wake-up call! She's left stranded in Vologda with no cash and a wardrobe that's totally out of place. And to make matters worse, she's a famous socialite, so she's a hot target for all sorts of unsavory characters in the area.

The storyline is just fantastic, with a great mix of drama and intrigue. I was hooked from the very beginning, and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the plot twists are expertly woven together. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, wondering what would happen next.

Katya Orlova, the millionaire heiress, is a complex and fascinating character. I loved watching her navigate the challenges of being a socialite, while also trying to figure out who she is and what she wants. The show does a great job of exploring themes like identity, class, and relationships, and it's definitely worth watching if you're looking for a compelling drama.

I've got to say, even though Katya's a billionaire, she's still a down-to-earth Russian girl who doesn't take herself too seriously. And she's definitely got the spark to give anyone a run for their money... but in this situation, she's definitely outmatched.

The second main character is Leha Danylin, a young lieutenant who's making his way to the military base in Gryazovets, a real town located about 48 kilometers outside of Vologda. I've got to give credit where credit is due - the filmmakers didn't make this place up, it's a pretty old town that sits on the Rzhavka River.

Let's get back to Leha. When he sees Katya, he's smitten - head over heels in love. And seeing her in a tough spot, he's more than willing to do whatever it takes to save her, protect her, or even just be a real or pretend boyfriend. His love knows no bounds.

I've got to say, it's pretty amusing to see a wealthy woman like Kate Orlova fall for a down-to-earth, honest guy. But, as it turns out, the circumstances are pretty wild... I won't give away the spoilers, but let's just say that the entire series, all eight episodes of 'Landysh. Such a tender love', is packed with exciting events.

This is one of those shows that you can binge-watch in one sitting. And, of course, Kate's character really shines through - she's not just a millionaire, but a true Russian girl at heart.

To make the plot even more intense, Kate's search for her millions takes her all the way to Vologda region.

There's her ex-fiancé, who's not about to let her get away with her billions; local thugs, who are just looking to get their hands on her money; her greedy and selfish guardian, since Kate's still a minor; and, of course, the local police, who are hot on her trail after she caused a scene at the Vologda airport.

So, you won't have a dull moment. With a great plot comes even better cinematography.

I was curious about the filming locations for the show 'Landysh. Such a Gentle Love'. Where exactly was it shot, and what's the deal with the city of Gryazovets and the military base? I did some digging and found out that the real story is pretty cool.

It turns out they filmed the show in Vologda and its surrounding areas. I was surprised to learn that!

The first scenes of the show feature Vologda Airport, and then you get to see some amazing cityscapes, including the Vologda Kremlin, the Ssophia Cathedral, the Peter the Great House-Museum, the city theater, and many other beautiful spots in the city.

As for the city of Gryazovets, it's a real town located near Vologda, but they didn't actually film there. The military base scenes were shot on a custom-built set in the outskirts of Vologda.

I'm glad I looked into this, because it's definitely added to my appreciation for the show.

I've got to give a shoutout to the soundtrack - the songs and background music are absolutely stunning.

What songs and soundtracks are featured in the series 'Landysh. Such a gentle love'? Who performs them?

What's the song that plays at the start of each episode in this series?

Here's the full list of songs and soundtracks from this series.

I was excited to hear the music for the 'Landmarks' series, but after a while, it started to get on my nerves. The songs are played in the middle of scenes, and it feels like an opera. I found myself skipping the musical inserts because there were too many of them.
Well, that's everything I wanted to share about this series.
If you haven't watched it, give it a look. It's already climbed into the top 250 movies on Kinopoisk and jumped up 94 spots, easily beating out 'The Word of a Gangster, Blood on the Asphalt' which is also in the top 250, but at number 194, and 'Outsourced' which was supposed to be the most anticipated series of the year, and 'Made in Rybinsk' which was supposed to be the most anticipated series of the year according to critics.
This series, 'Landysh. Such Gentle Love', proves that genuine films and series about love will always outdo dark themes like execution chambers, crime, and the like.
Enjoy the watch!
We're looking forward to the second season.
