Editor's Summary
I gotta say, I was really hoping the Webbankir app would be a game changer for quick loans, but unfortunately, it was a total letdown. I downloaded the app, filled out my info, and uploaded my documents, but the process took way longer than promised. The app said it would take just a couple of minutes, but I was waiting for over 20 minutes for a response. Not gonna lie, I was pretty frustrated. Here's the deal, if you're in a tight spot and need a loan, you might want to look elsewhere.
Specifications
I'll be honest, I've been in a tight spot before where I needed a quick loan, but couldn't get it from anyone. That's when I stumbled upon the Webbankir app, which promised a loan with no interest in its ads.
After downloading the app, I had to fill out my personal info and upload a photo of my passport and a selfie with my ID to verify my identity. It took me a couple of minutes. Once I signed the agreements, I requested a loan of 30,000 rubles.
Next, I got a window with a super long loading animation. I was checking it for about 10-15 minutes, waiting for a response, even though the app said it would take just a couple of minutes. It didn't recommend leaving the page.
That was my first issue with what they promised.
In the end, after 20 minutes, they finally approved my loan.
As you can see from the screenshot, it said I was returning 30,000 rubles.
Once the money was transferred to my card, the spam started. I got calls from unknown numbers and messages offering new loans from different organizations. Yeah, I might have agreed to that in the fine print, but I didn't expect it to be this bad.And this spam is still going on to this day.
This was a pretty annoying experience, but it's not the last issue I have with this company.Naturally, the day before my loan was due, I got this text:
I was confused why I had to pay today, since my payment schedule said tomorrow, so I reached out to their support:
I guess the support team was slammed, because the operator totally ignored my greeting and dove right into the issue. No biggie, though - they did answer my question and I appreciated that. What did throw me for a loop was the super ominous text in the notification saying 'pay up today' - I was totally stressing out, thinking I'd get hit with a late fee. Little did I know, I'd be paying more regardless. Fast forward to the day the loan was due, and I got hit with a whopping commission of 1950.00 rubles. Yeah, that's right - I got to pay that out of my own pocket. Not exactly what I was hoping for when I was looking for interest-free loans.
I was lucky enough to have some extra cash on hand, so I was able to pay off the loan without getting slammed with a huge fee.
If you're not prepared for the constant spam and surprise fees, I'd say steer clear of this service.
