Cinema Star at Prince Plaza (Warm Hall)

Cinema Star at Prince Plaza (Warm Hall)

I've been to my fair share of movie theaters, but Cinema Star at Prince Plaza (Warm Hall) in Moscow really stands out. This top-notch cinema in the heart of the city has got it all - comfy seating, crystal-clear sound, and impressive build quality that'll make you feel like you're right in the action. Plus, the long-lasting battery life means you can enjoy the latest movies without worrying about running out of juice. And let's not forget the cozy and convenient setting that makes it easy to grab a snack or meet up with friends. Whether you're a movie buff or just looking for a fun night out, Cinema Star at Prince Plaza (Warm Hall) is the perfect spot.

A Decent Cinema, But Room for Improvement

summarizeEditor's Summary

The Warm Land cinema is a cozy spot to catch a movie, but it's got some flaws. Ticket prices are reasonable, and the seats are comfy, but the sound quality could be better, and the screens are on the smaller side. If you're after a more immersive experience, you might want to check out the CineStar next door. That said, the Warm Land is still a decent option if you're looking for a chill atmosphere. I took my daughter to see 'Paw Patrol', and we both enjoyed it, but I wish they had more pillows under the seats for little kids like mine.

I took my daughter to see her favorite movie, 'Paw Patrol', at a local cinema in our town called the 'Warm Land'. We've got a decent number of cinemas around here, considering the recent demolition of 'Aurora' - it's been out of commission for a while. There's 'CineStar' in 'Spectrum', an IMAX at 'Megaplex', and 'Sinema Star' in 'Prince Plaza'. The last one seems to be the least popular, at least that's my experience. It's usually almost empty when I'm there.
Despite having multiple screens, the 'Warm Land' cinema is cozy, and the ticket prices are pretty reasonable. However, there are a few reasons why I prefer the neighboring 'CineStar'. First, the screens are smaller, and the sound quality is worse. The seats are comfy, but if you've got little kids like my three-year-old, you'll find that there aren't enough pillows under the seats to support their bottom - 'CineStar' does offer those, though. We were lucky to have the place almost to ourselves today, but with a full audience, the heads of the people in front might obstruct your view.
Ticket prices are pretty reasonable: we paid 120 rubles per ticket for the morning show. Buying tickets online is a breeze, and picking them up at the box office is easy. But let's be real, cinema isn't just about tickets - it's about the whole experience. Everywhere I go, popcorn has become ridiculously expensive. I wish they'd offer smaller portions, especially for kids' shows. The smallest container is three times bigger than our sandbox bucket! It's supposed to hold two liters, but it looks like it's more like one and a half.
I was also told that they can't give me a smaller portion because it's plastic, and they don't have any bags. I'm not going to take away my three-year-old's snack in the cinema... and the price is steep - 330 rubles for the smallest portion. If you add a drink, which is at least 120 rubles, it's a bad value for money. I wish they'd offer half portions.
Some areas of the cinema could use a bit of renovation. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the interior could use a fresh coat of paint to brighten things up. It's not a major issue, but it's something to consider if you're planning on visiting. To be honest, I've been to the 'Warm Land' a few times now, and while it's not bad, it's not my go-to cinema either. The experience just feels a bit lacking compared to some of the other options in the area.
I've been to plenty of cinemas in our town, and the 'Warm Land' is definitely one of the more laid-back options. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. However, when it comes to the actual movie-watching experience, I think 'CineStar' edges it out. The screens are smaller, but the sound quality is better, and the seats are more comfortable.
One thing that really stood out to me was the price of the popcorn. I mean, 330 rubles for the smallest portion is just crazy! And if you add a drink, it's a total rip-off. I wish they'd offer smaller portions or at least some kind of discount for kids' shows.
Overall, the 'Warm Land' is a decent cinema, but it's not my top choice. If you're looking for a more laid-back experience, it's worth checking out. But if you want the full cinema experience, you might want to consider one of the other options in the area.
