VitaScience Iron Chelate Capsules, 20mg, 30 Count

I've tried these capsules for a week now, and they're doing the job. VitaScience's Iron Chelate Capsules are straightforward, easy to take, and packed with 20mg of iron per serving. If you're looking to boost your iron levels or just need a reliable supplement, these capsules are a great choice. Plus, they're perfect for anyone who's tired of feeling sluggish - I know I was.

A Mixed Bag: My Experience with VitaScience Iron Chelate

summarizeEditor's Summary

I finished taking VitaScience Iron Chelate and while it didn't magically solve my fatigue issues, I did experience a few positives. The capsules were super easy to swallow, and I liked that they were vegetarian. However, the iron chelate didn't seem to have a significant impact on my energy levels. I'm still exploring other possible causes of my fatigue, but I'll continue to take iron supplements and monitor my progress. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed that it didn't work better for me, but it's not a bad product by any means. It's just not a game-changer for me. I think it could work for some people, though, especially those who are looking for a vegetarian option. Just be aware that it might not be suitable for everyone, especially people with certain medical conditions. And, of course, always consult with your doctor before taking any new supplements.

A Mixed Bag: My Experience with VitaScience Iron Chelate
I finished taking the last capsule of VitaScience Iron Chelate yesterday, and here are my thoughts in this review.
For the past couple of years, I've been feeling constantly fatigued and sleepy. This summer, I also noticed some hair loss, which I wrote about in my review of shampoo against hair loss.
If a few years ago my condition was justified by my job, then after I changed it, I don't have any reason to complain: my schedule is regular, and the work isn't too stressful.
For a while, I visited doctors a few times.
There could be several physiological causes, particularly, I've had blood tests for thyroid hormones because their disorders can cause fatigue – but everything's fine.
Suddenly, it's trendy to talk about ferritin when you're tired (unfortunately, this trend hasn't reached all doctors).
According to my test results, several therapists said that everything's okay with me.
The gynecologist and endocrinologist recommended taking iron because my last ferritin test result was just 23, which isn't normal.
The last two doctors diagnosed me with latent iron deficiency because my hemoglobin and other parameters are normal.
I didn't get any specific recommendations for a particular supplement, so I chose VitaScience Iron Chelate.
I was drawn to the packaging with the phrase 'easy-to-absorb iron form,' and the 30 capsules in the pack were just enough to see if I notice any changes in my well-being.
I won't hide it: participation in the action and free packaging almost made me smile.
The dosage isn't too big – 20mg – because my therapist suggested I try Solgar, which has 25mg, but she didn't recommend it enthusiastically, and it costs almost 2000 rubles. I thought the difference of 5mg wouldn't be critical.
I also evaluated the manufacturer's promises as suitable for me.
On the box and in the instructions, it's stated:
Helps prevent anemia,Supports maintaining normal hemoglobin levels,Improves blood formation,Increases work efficiencyThat's exactly what I need.
Packaging and appearance: Iron chelate VitaScience come in a cardboard box, inside blister packs with capsules and a small instruction, where in essence the information is duplicated from the box.
Capsules with a red-colored shell, not too small, not too big, easy to swallow.
Application: According to VitaScience's recommendations, adults take 1 capsule per day with food. The duration of use is 1 month.
The application regimen is convenient.
My experience and results: I followed the instructions, but closer to the end, I started paying attention to information from external sources, and they recommend taking it on an empty stomach or after eating for better absorption.
The moment of the manufacturer's recommendations now raises doubts for me.
Information is so different, I'm still trying to figure out the connections to form my opinion on what would be more effective for me, while still in the process of studying.
But I think it was right for me to follow the instructions, although I finished taking the supplement and didn't feel any effect.
Actually, in the last 3 doses, I started taking iron capsules with vitamin C, because some publications and doctors in their blogs write that it would be better for absorption, and my friend also mentioned it, as her doctor told her.
I'm not sure if it's just a placebo effect, but I even woke up easily yesterday, which is usually a real struggle for me, and I didn't even fall asleep during the movie premiere of Martin Scorsese's 'The Marvelous Martin' (2025).
But after almost a month of taking it, I barely noticed any effect: I just wanted to go to bed, and that's exactly what I did.
But yesterday and today, when I started taking the iron supplement with vitamin C, I felt a bit more energized, though I still don't see the point in getting my ferritin levels checked, given how sluggish I felt throughout the iron supplement course from VitaScience.
My Verdict: So, while the iron chelate from VitaScience has an affordable price point (you can even get it for just 1 ruble in VitaScience!), it's easy to buy, and the supplement didn't cause any side effects, I wouldn't recommend it because I didn't feel any effect from taking it.
I do have some theories on how to take iron supplements effectively, but the manufacturer's instructions didn't mention anything about it, so I'm pretty sure that the average user like me will buy this supplement and not feel any effects either.
