My Experience with Creating a Vision Board Based on Feng Shui

I'm excited to share my experience creating a vision board based on the feng shui method outlined here.

A vision board is a visual representation or collage that displays all the things, events, and achievements you want to attract into your life.

Please note that I won't be teaching anyone anything. The rules and sequence of creating a vision board are detailed in the review I linked above. In this review, I'll only share my personal experience.

I'm a skeptic, to be honest. I don't believe in astrology, numerology, tarot, or any other form of esotericism. I don't feel anything special from gazing at a nail, and I don't believe in the scary stories about the misfortunes that can be brought by drawing neurography incorrectly. As for the popular Lila game, if it surprised me at all, it was with the number of views on my review about it. Our people love all sorts of...

However, I have a positive attitude towards vision boards. I don't see any magic in them.

From my understanding, a vision board is a tool that helps you identify what's truly important to you from a multitude of directions and focus on that, rather than spreading yourself too thin.

My, still unfinished vision board, created according to the method outlined by NadiaLoveI created my vision board in 2024. I didn't rush it. First, I decided to create it on an A4 sheet. And here's why:

✔️ As I thought it through, I realized I didn't have that many genuine desires;

✔️ A smaller sheet is an added incentive not to get carried away with my thoughts, not to write nonsense like 'I own the 15th iPhone' just to fill up the space.

I spent several evenings on designing my vision board, coloring the frames for each sector, drawing symbols, choosing colors, and jotting down my desires on a separate piece of paper, all while waiting for the full moon.

In the central sector - a photo of me being happyEnough chit-chat. Let's move on to the specific sectors of my vision board, my desires, and their realization. We'll go through each of the 9 sectors.

I'll list the recorded desires and immediately provide a comment on whether they came true, and if so, how.

I'll be brutally honest, but for ethical reasons, I'll leave out some details – especially when it comes to what I've mentioned in the review title. Plus, my handwriting is atrocious, so you won't see any filled-in, handwritten KJ here.

A crucial reminder that fulfilling your desires is a good thing!When filling out my KJ, I started with the central sector 'Health and Beauty,' writing down the following:

☑️ My desires are fulfilled quickly and benefit me and my loved ones;

📑 Some of my desires were fulfilled incredibly quickly, and I'd say they were comprehensive! I'll go into more detail on specific examples below.

☑️ I have clear, healthy skin on my face and body;

📑 I've struggled with acne on my back, shoulders, and décolletage for years, and I've always dreamed of having clear skin and being able to wear open dresses. And then, I found information about products that can help solve this problem in just a couple of months!

☑️ I have sharp eyesight;

📑 10 years ago, I had LASIK surgery to correct my severe nearsightedness, but due to working on a computer all the time, I started experiencing eye strain. And again: I somehow stumbled upon information about eye drops that can help restore my clear vision!

☑️ I have beautiful, natural-looking eyebrow and eyeliner tattoos;

📑 In the 2010s, I made the mistake of getting terrible permanent makeup. In my older age, I set a goal to get rid of them – to remove as much as possible and cover up the rest. And indeed, I was able to work with a good specialist to get my eyebrows looking amazing. Now, I'm focusing on my eyeliner.

☑️ I have a healthy, straight posture;

📑 I found information and started working on my posture using Dr. Shishonin's method. Unfortunately, I'm not doing it regularly yet, but that's a priority issue.

☑️ I'm a healthy, energetic, emotionally stable person;

📑 I'm not sure if I should attribute this to the KJ, but over the second half of 2024, thanks to fulfilling many of my desires and positive changes in my life in general, I've almost stopped getting sick, and I have tons of energy. At 36 years old, I'm actively engaged in creative activities, such as cosplay.

The 'Wealth' sector, to be honest, didn't interest me much, as I'm already doing well financially, but:

☑️ My material wealth fully satisfies me and provides me with a comfortable life;

📑 I'm fortunate to have a good financial situation. I was offered a new job with a salary three times higher than my current one, but I turned it down because I don't want to sacrifice my non-material benefits and comforts that my current job provides. But the universe did surprise me with a fact – it was a real offer!

☑️ Honestly, I've got a steady income of $... and more from my side hustles (I've left out the exact amount mentioned in my journal, as the cost of living in our province is vastly different from that in Moscow, and what might seem like a lot to me could be laughable to a city dweller);

📑 I met someone who offered to collaborate on creating travel films for a fee. They suggested I integrate their ads into my content and work on a few joint projects related to my main passion – tourism. I started earning significantly more from Airek (another creative activity – writing texts). Airek started offering me products to review (which, in a way, is another source of income).

The 'Recognition and Fame' sector

I've got a long list of places I want to visit, and this A4 page was barely enough☑️ In 2025, my portrait was featured on the city's Wall of Fame;

📑 Yes, I'm not ashamed to admit it – I have a desire for recognition. It hasn't come true yet, but there's still time left in the year.

☑️ I have a YouTube channel about travel, featuring my own films, with over $... subscribers;

📑 My channel grew steadily in 2024, but unfortunately, YouTube got blocked at some point, and my views plummeted. I decided to switch to Rutube, starting from scratch.

☑️ I have a community called $... on $... with over $... members;

📑 In 2024, the number of members increased roughly by 50%, but it's still short of the number mentioned in my journal. Honestly, I've come to realize that quality is more important than quantity – even if it's just 100 real people who genuinely care about me, rather than a bunch of bots. My community is super supportive, with lots of engagement, likes, comments, and reviews – it's incredibly heartwarming.

My handwriting's not too bad, and I'm not sharing any intimate details, so I'm not hiding anythingLet's be honest – I'm a lazy person. I don't want to learn how to drive, pick up a new language, or get a third degree. And it's not because I can't – I just don't want to. You know what they say, "can't" is just a word 😉So, in this sector, I wrote:

☑️ I successfully and efficiently tackle work-related tasks;

☑️ I love and respect myself;

☑️ I make wise and well-considered decisions in any situation;

📑 I've got a story to share. When I was deep into creating ad integrations, travel films, and tourism projects (check out the corresponding desire from the 'Wealth' sector), an old friend got jealous and posted some damaging information about me online. Specifically, she accused me of being a show-off who doesn't share gear, and leaves beginners to freeze in the woods. Back in the day, I probably would've blown the lid off the whole thing, published a rebuttal, forced my 'friend' to publicly apologize. But now I realized that she, who can't create anything herself, was just trying to get attention. And negative PR is still PR 😄.

Section 'Helpers and Travel' – I was really caught up in this sector, as traveling is my life's purpose 😍

I've got a long list of places I want to visit, and this A4 page was barely enoughI stuck a lovely image of skiers in this sector – it's close to my heart.

☑️ My helpers: $name surname$, $name surname$, $name surname$ (I mentioned my fellow travelers, including one person I was only in touch with via email);

📑 These people do help me. One of them, in particular, really pushes me out of my comfort zone – and it's beneficial for me. He suggested I become a tour guide for a group of foreign tourists in the historical part of my city. I'm no expert on history, and I'd never done anything like that before, so I was taken aback. But he kept saying, 'I don't need a professional tour guide, I need a real person who loves this city – you'll do great, you'll do better than anyone!' And, indeed, I successfully led the tour and felt really proud of myself.

☑️ I travel as much as I want and wherever I want;

📑 PS: I need this initial statement to avoid being sent to Siberia for chopping wood 🙄. Anyway, it's all about priorities. A person will always find time and opportunities for what they truly want.

☑️ In $month$ 2024, I went on a hiking trip with friends to $national park name$;

📑 At the time, we'd already booked our vacation and were planning to visit the national park, but we couldn't make it due to abnormal rainfall that caused the rivers to rise. We adjusted our plans and instead went on a 3-day mini-hike in our region. I postponed the rest of my vacation to another month (see below)

☑️ I climbed $mountain name$ with $name surname$;

📑 I finally got to finish this wish when I rescheduled my vacation. And I'll show you how important it is to formulate your wishes in KJ correctly using this wish as an example! Brief backstory: my friend has been going on hikes with the $Club Name$ under the leadership of $Leader's Name$ for several years and highly recommended it. And so, in 2024, I decided: it's time! Luckily, the club's hike to the mountain I was interested in coincided with the rescheduled vacation. I quickly emailed the leader, paid the advance, and booked my flights.

☑️ I traveled to $My Favorite Historical Figure's Homeland$;

📑 Unfortunately, it didn't work out due to geopolitical reasons. I humbly hope that my wish in KJ will contribute, even in a small way, to establishing peace worldwide 🙏☮️

Section 'Family and Daily Life' – I was guided by the principle of 'do no harm' since my current situation is perfect:

☑️ I'm grateful that all my close relatives are healthy, active, financially independent, living comfortably, and peacefully with each other;

📑 Yuck, yuck, yuck!

☑️ My home is adorned with a painting by $Artist's Name$;

📑 Another example of the importance of formulating your wishes! I didn't specify the painting's title I wanted. In the end, my mom gives me money for a birthday gift, but it's not enough for the painting I want. I decided to scrounge up some more and make my dream come true, especially since I have positive experience buying art through a modern art marketplace.

☑️ I own a Naturehike travel mat;

📑 This seemingly strange wish was a means of activating KJ. According to the method, you should write down a wish that's guaranteed to come true in the near future and thus trigger the 'make your dreams come true' reaction. I've been meaning to update my car mat for ages. I found a suitable one on OZON, placed the order, and voilà!

My wish came true, KJ activated!

Section 'Career' – I was guided by the principle of 'do no harm' since my current situation is perfect:

☑️ I'm doing my favorite job in $such-and-such field$, which brings me a monthly income of $... and above$;

📑 I still love my job with all my heart, but the monthly income mentioned in the contract hasn't been reached yet. However, I did receive an offer to switch to another company with a salary several times higher, which I turned down.

☑️ We've got a working air conditioner in my office;

📑 Unfortunately, we're still struggling with the scorching heat during the summer.

☑️ I'm grateful that all my colleagues are healthy and get along well with each other;

📑 Ugh, what a bummer!

Sector 'Children and Creativity' – I was really caught up in this sector, as creative projects are my own 'children' too:

☑️ I'm thrilled to create travel films, literary texts, and more;

📑 And it's come true 100%! I'm actively engaged in creating travel films, literary texts, and other creative projects.

☑️ I'm proud of the artwork I create, which brings me good fame and recognition;

📑 Like when I was working on a film project and couldn't come up with a cover design. I remembered my travel-themed artwork and suggested using them as covers to the client, who agreed. After the film's release, a friend messaged me, saying she loved the artwork and asked for the source files to print posters for her home decor. Talk about good fame!

And now, the reason we're all here – the 'Love and Relationships' sector!

💔 I won't sugarcoat it – this area of life has been my biggest concern. I've had a string of bad luck in relationships, with all the young men I liked rejecting me, followed by two abusive relationships in a row, and a long journey of healing and self-improvement, including working with Tana Tanka's books.

☑️ I'm happy with my partner, and he's happy with me. My partner is a Slavic man, my age, kind, decent, funny, sporty, caring, physically attractive to me, spiritually close to me, and shares my interests in tourism, travel, and blogging. We have a $... relationship format (I've omitted the details as my unconventional views on family life and daily routine aren't the focus of this review).

📑 I have to say, I was really curious about the chances of meeting a guy who shares my interests in backcountry skiing, videography, and blogging. And, of course, someone who's not too fussy about looks. I mean, I'm 36, and I'm not exactly a supermodel. But, I met someone who fits the bill, and we really hit it off!

As the universe would have it, my wish came true in a way that I never could have anticipated. I mentioned earlier that some of my wishes were fulfilled in a more complex way than I expected. Well, this guy turned out to be the perfect match. We met on a skiing trip (from the 'Travel and Adventures' section), and we started working on creative projects together - promotional integrations, joint video shoots for our blogs, and outdoor events.

I was blown away by how perfectly my wish came true!✨

This guy is my age, Russian (I don't want to offend anyone, but people from other cultures just don't do it for me). He's super fun, athletic, into wellness, caring, and a great cook. We're on the same wavelength spiritually, too - we're both atheists and skeptics, and he's got a solid, down-to-earth job (no new-age nonsense for him). And, let's just say, we could talk about skiing and blogging all day long!

When I met him, I realized that it was all worth the wait. I looked back on my life, grateful for the 36 years I'd lived, and thanked all the guys who'd rejected me in the past.

"And then, like a fairy tale, the door creaked open,

And everything became crystal clear:

I'd been arguing with fate for so long

Just for this meeting with you.

I'd been freezing somewhere, sailing the seas -

I knew it was all worth it!

Everything in life was worth it,

Not a single moment in vain!"

So, why did I decide to end things with him?

It turned out that the format of our relationship wasn't working for me because I'm a jealous person. I was too obsessed with the idea of him interacting with other women (young and attractive) for work, and I couldn't shake off the negative thoughts. Eventually, I realized that the negativity was outweighing the positives, and I decided to shift our relationship from romantic to purely business-oriented.

What can I say about my experience with creating a vision board?

✔️ Before you write down your wish, keep in mind that you'll have to put in the work to make it happen. I'm not talking about some mystical payback. I mean, you'll need to put in the time and effort to learn new skills, like English, or get a decent tattoo instead of green eyebrows. The vision board will show you the possibilities, but you'll still need to put in the work!

✔️ For some reason, I didn't quite hit the numbers I was aiming for (specific subscriber count, income, etc.). I wrote them down clearly, following the method, but in dollars, not some vague, made-up currency. I guess it just wasn't that important to me.

✔️ For some other wishes, specificity was key (like with the painting and the skiing trip). I was blown away by how exactly my wishes came true!

✔️ I think the descriptions could've been more focused on my inner state. For example, it would've been great to mention how I feel in my relationship with my partner - confident, calm, stable, and so on.

✔️ When I was doing the KJ method, I thought I had very few material desires, but now I realize that there are actually some things I'd like to have, like a modern action camera or a good microphone.

MY RATING OF THE FENG SHUI "CARTOGRAPHY OF DESIRES" METHOD 4⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'd recommend approaching the KJ method as a tool for self-discovery, not a magic wand.
