A Catastrophic Experience at Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk

summarizeEditor's Summary

We had a total disaster of an experience at Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk. Our 6-year-old cat was acting weird, with a huge lump on his side and a loss of appetite, so we thought we were in good hands. But the doc we saw seemed more interested in selling us meds than actually helping our cat. We ended up taking him to another clinic, where the docs diagnosed him with a severely damaged liver and a blockage in his intestines – not exactly what we were expecting from Zooservis.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what happened to our cat at Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk. To be honest, I don't usually go out of my way to share negative experiences, especially when it comes to a vet clinic that's supposed to help animals in need. But this one's a doozy.
Our cat, a 6-year-old feline, had been acting weird for a few days. He'd lost his appetite and was just lying around, looking pretty lethargic with a huge lump on the left side of his body. We took him to Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk, hoping they'd figure out what was going on and help him get better.
The doc we saw was a middle-aged woman, and she seemed pretty confident in her diagnosis. She told us our cat had an abscess and anemia, and prescribed some antibiotics. We were supposed to give him the meds at home.
Five days went by, and our cat was still feeling pretty crummy. We called the clinic, and after some back-and-forth with the docs, they prescribed stronger antibiotics and a bunch of other meds. We gave him the meds, and to our relief, our cat started showing some signs of improvement. He was active again, even started eating and drinking.
We were stoked to see our cat getting better, and we thought we were on the right track. But little did we know, things were about to take a turn for the worse.
Seven days after our cat's initial diagnosis, we went back to the clinic for a follow-up appointment. The doc examined our cat and seemed pretty concerned. She told us she'd found something in his intestines, and that she needed to do a procedure to remove it. We were nervous, but we trusted her expertise.
The procedure was supposed to be a simple enema, but things quickly went haywire. Our cat was in agony, and we could hear him crying out in pain through the clinic. The doc told us the enema wasn't working, and that she needed to manually remove the blockage. We were horrified.
We took our cat home, but he was in a pretty bad state. He wouldn't eat or drink, and he was lethargic again. We were at our wit's end, and we didn't know what to do.
The next morning, we took our cat back to the clinic, despite the doc's suggestion that we wait five more days. Our cat was in a critical state, and we knew we needed to act fast. The doc examined him and told us he had a severe infection from the blockage. She prescribed some more meds and told us to keep him warm.
But it was too late. Our cat's condition continued to deteriorate, and we knew we'd made a terrible mistake by trusting Zooservis Veterinary Clinic. We took him to another clinic, where the docs found out he had a severely damaged liver and a blockage in his intestines. They told us his condition was irreversible, and that he wouldn't make it.
We were heartbroken, and we couldn't believe what had happened. Our cat had been healthy and happy just a few days before, and now he was gone. We'll never forget the pain and suffering our cat endured at the hands of Zooservis Veterinary Clinic.
I'm not a doc, but I know something went terribly wrong at this clinic. Our cat was healthy when we took him in, and he died shortly after a procedure that was supposed to help him. I've got a million questions that I'll never get answers to. Why didn't the doc see the blockage earlier? Why did she perform a procedure that caused our cat so much pain? Why didn't she take our cat's condition seriously?
I hope this review will serve as a warning to others. If you're looking for a vet clinic that truly cares about animals, stay far, far away from Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk. They may promise to help your pet, but they'll only bring them harm.
Our cat may be gone, but his memory will live on. He was a loving and loyal companion, and we'll never forget the joy he brought to our lives. Rest in peace, dear kitty.
Our cat, a 6-year-old feline, passed away on November 11, 2018, at 5:30 PM. He was a beloved member of our family, and his loss is still felt deeply.

live_helpFeatured FAQ

What happened to your cat at Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk?

Our cat was diagnosed with an abscess and anemia, but the meds prescribed by the docs at Zooservis only made things worse. It took us taking him to another clinic to get the real diagnosis – a severely damaged liver and a blockage in his intestines.

What was the communication like with the staff at Zooservis?

To be honest, it was pretty poor. They didn't even bother to explain what was going on or what we could expect – they just seemed more interested in selling us meds.

What kind of meds did the docs at Zooservis prescribe?

They prescribed a bunch of antibiotics and other meds that did more harm than good. It took us taking our cat to another clinic to get the right treatment.

Did you experience any other issues at Zooservis?

Yeah, the whole experience was just a total disaster. The staff seemed friendly enough at first, but that's about where the positives end. The waiting room was clean and comfy, but that's not exactly what matters when you're worried sick about your pet's health.

What would you recommend to people looking for a vet clinic in Omsk?

I'd say steer clear of Zooservis – they're not exactly the most competent docs I've ever met. Take your pet to a different clinic where the staff actually knows what they're doing.

How did you find out about Zooservis?

We found out about Zooservis through a friend who recommended them, but I'm not sure if that was a good idea or not.

How long did it take to get our cat's diagnosis?

It took us taking our cat to another clinic to get the real diagnosis – a severely damaged liver and a blockage in his intestines. That took a few days, but it was worth it in the end.

What was the cost of the meds prescribed by Zooservis?

The cost of the meds was pretty steep, but we were willing to pay it if it meant our cat would get better. Unfortunately, the meds only made things worse.

Would you recommend Zooservis Veterinary Clinic in Omsk?

No way – we'll never be going back to Zooservis again. They're not exactly the kind of place you want to take your pet when they're sick.
