Uzbegim: A Hidden Gem on Dubai Marina
I stumbled upon Uzbegim, a super popular cafe on Dubai Marina, during my stay at a nearby hotel. It's always packed - day and night. The moment I walked in, I knew I'd found something special. The aroma of sizzling meat and spices filled the air, and the sound of lively chatter and clinking cutlery created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Uzbegim, a cafe on Dubai Marina waterfrontAt first, I wasn't planning on writing a review, but then I thought, why not? Someone might find this info useful, so I decided to share my experience with Uzbegim. As I sat down at one of the plastic tables, I noticed the basic cutlery and the lack of a formal dining area. However, the prices were so affordable that I didn't mind the casual setup.
Located on Dubai Marina, the cafe is easy to find - it's right opposite the famous Address hotel. You can't miss it, especially with the huge sign: 'Uzbek-Russian restaurant'. Although, to be honest, it's more like a cafe than a restaurant. The staff speak Russian, and the menu's in Russian too. Given the number of customers, I'm guessing they prep food in advance. Orders are delivered lightning-fast - everything's hot, straight from the kitchen!
Uzbegim, a cafe on Dubai Marina waterfrontThe portions are massive - you can easily share one dish between two people. I was impressed by how filling the food was. Mostly, it's meat-based dishes - shashlik, samosa, goulash, pilaf, and meatballs. But there's also grilled fish. The food is cooked to perfection, and the flavors are rich and authentic.
Uzbegim, a cafe on Dubai Marina waterfrontThe cafe's popularity is clear - the food doesn't sit around for long. The freshness of the preparation is noticeable. And eating outdoors, with the smell of a campfire, is a real treat. The staff is friendly and efficient, and they're happy to help with any questions or requests.
Uzbegim, a cafe on the Dubai Marina waterfrontI didn't manage to take a photo of the menu, but I remember the price range being:
Soups and salads from 15 to 20 AEDMain courses from 40 to 50 AEDLunch sets, including a soup, main course, and salad, for 46 or 56 AEDIt's a great deal, and you can buy it every day from 11 am to 4 pm. The exchange rate in December 2025 was 23 rubles. As for Russia in general, I'm not an expert, but for Saint Petersburg, these prices are pretty standard. It even seemed like a bargain for the amount of meat you get in each serving.
Uzbegim, a cafe on Dubai Marina waterfrontI highly recommend visiting Uzbegim on Dubai Marina. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food is delicious and generous, and the location is great. After dinner, you can take a stroll along the marina, taking in the city lights, or head out on a mega-yacht for a relaxing evening cruise.
