Editor's Summary
The Ural Pelmens concert 'Kurs Ruli' was a disappointing experience. The jokes were unfunny, and the program felt disjointed. The TV recording didn't add any value. The authors need to change their style and stop relying on the same old material.
Introduction
On September 16, I attended the Ural Pelmens concert in Moscow with my husband and two friends. The concert was recording a new TV program for STS 'Kurs Ruli'. I'm not a die-hard fan of Ural Pelmens, but my husband had been wanting to attend one of their concerts for a long time, and our friends were also keen. So, we decided to give it a try.
Organization
We booked our tickets in July through the Yandex-Afiisha service. At the time, there were plenty of options, and we managed to get good seats. The only positive aspect of the evening was the organization.
Seating
The concert took place at the Cosmos Hotel concert hall. Our seats were in row 14, seats 30-33. We were right in the middle of the hall, directly in front of the stage. The seats were comfortable, and the hall was cozy. However, the price for the front-row seats was quite high.
PriceOur tickets cost 7,500 rubles each, making a total of 15,000 rubles for the two of us. Before the concert started, we checked the website for any available seats, and there were three single tickets available on the last rows for between 20,000 and 25,000 rubles. It's clear that it's better to book tickets in advance.
Program
The concert started at 20:05, and it lasted for approximately 3 hours. The program consisted of 15 numbers, but only two of them were decent, with normal jokes and a clear meaning. Two numbers were songs: Miasnikov sang three songs, and Rozhkov performed satirical verses. The final song was also quite good. The rest of the numbers were between 1 and 3 points, with unfunny jokes and a lack of originality. Even I couldn't understand who the authors were targeting with their humor.
My Emotions and Impressions
I didn't enjoy the concert. The jokes were flat. Maybe it's time for the authors to change their style. The TV recording didn't add any positive emotions. The concert felt disjointed, with separate numbers and pauses for TV recording. The participants didn't try to engage the audience or keep them entertained. We were just decorations at this concert.
Conclusion
I wouldn't recommend the Ural Pelmens concert 'Kurs Ruli'. The TV version of the show, which included only six numbers from our concert, was also disappointing. The authors need to revamp their material and stop relying on the same old jokes.
