Uragan GTG 320 Electric Trimmer

I've been using the Uragan GTG 320 Electric Trimmer for a while now, and I'm really impressed with its build quality - it's solid and feels like it'll last. The battery life is also a big plus, it keeps going long after you'd expect it to run out. Plus, it's super easy to use, even for someone like me who's not exactly a gardening pro. I've been trimming my lawn with it for a few weeks, and it's been a total game-changer. The trimmer is lightweight, and the adjustable handle makes it comfortable to hold. I've also been blown away by the customer support - they responded quickly to my questions, which is a huge plus when you're trying to get your lawn looking its best. All in all, I'd say this trimmer is a great value for money.

My Epic Fail with the URAGAN GTG 320 Electric Trimmer

summarizeEditor's Summary

I picked up the URAGAN GTG 320 electric trimmer on a whim, hoping it'd solve my lawn woes. But after a week of use, I'm left feeling disappointed and frustrated. The weight and ergonomic design are just okay, but the real issue lies in its performance. I'm not getting the results I want, and it's leaving me wondering if it's worth the 1300 rubles I paid.

My Epic Fail with the URAGAN GTG 320 Electric Trimmer
I've been wrestling with my overgrown lawn for what feels like an eternity. I've tried every trick in the book: mowing, trimming, burning, and mulching. Nothing seems to keep the weeds at bay. Desperate for a solution, I picked up the URAGAN GTG 320 electric trimmer for a steal at 1300 rubles. The salesperson raved about it, but I'm not so sure.
The trimmer weighs 2.4 kg, which isn't too heavy for a woman to handle, but my hand gets tired pretty quickly. The two-component handle is comfortable to hold, but it could be more ergonomic. I mean, who doesn't love a good grip?
One of my biggest gripes with this trimmer is the ridiculously short extension cord. My garden is huge, and I need to use an extension cord to reach all the areas. The cord gets tangled, and I've had to cut it a few times already. It would be awesome if the manufacturer included a longer extension cord or made it easier to manage.
The motor placement is another major headache for me. It's located at the bottom, which makes it prone to short circuits when the grass is wet. That's a major concern, especially during the rainy season. I have to be extra careful when using the trimmer in wet conditions.
The included string is another major letdown. It breaks instantly, and it only cuts young, thin grass. Even then, it's a struggle. I've bought multiple strings, but they all have the same problem - they knot, break, and don't cut the grass properly. I've had to replace the string multiple times, which is frustrating and expensive. I mean, who wants to spend their Saturday afternoon replacing trimmer strings?
I regret buying this product. It's a waste of money, and it can't even handle its main function. I've had to use it for small areas only, and even then, it's a struggle. I've tried to be patient and give it a chance, but it's just not up to par.
Later, I bought a gas trimmer (check my review for its description - it's a beast, but heavy and expensive), and the URAGAN GTG 320 is just a weak, flimsy thing that only cuts young, thin grass. It can't handle thicker grass or weeds. What a disappointment.
I wouldn't recommend buying this product. If you're looking for a reliable electric trimmer, keep looking. There are better options out there.
The only good things I can say about this trimmer are that it's lightweight and cheap. But those pros aren't enough to outweigh the cons.
Here are the things I dislike about the URAGAN GTG 320:
Needs a longer extension cord - trust me, you'll need it The string breaks quickly (you'll be replacing it a lot) Can't cut thick grass (it's a total struggle) Needs electricity all the time (no battery life to speak of) The motor placement is a concern (it's at the bottom, which is a problem) Holding it for extended periods is tiring (no shoulder strap to speak of)
