A Total Game Changer for Beginners!

Hey guys, I'm super excited to share my thoughts on this 5-piece makeup brush set from UniLook.

The Basics

I picked this up at the Permanent Sales Store in August 2025.

The price was 489.13 rubles.

It's made in China.

I stumbled upon this adorable brush set at the Permanent Sales Store and just had to grab it - the design of the brushes is everything!

First Impressions

The plastic case was wrapped in a super sturdy, transparent plastic bag.

On the front, it's got the brand name and in English, it says 'makeup brushes for beauty'. The text is in black on transparent plastic, and you can see the whole set through the bag.

I ended up tossing the transparent packaging - it was impractical and unnecessary. The case itself is made of sturdy plastic. It's a nice, muted beige color. The front and back of the case look like this. It measures 8.5 cm x 11 cm x 2 cm.

A 5-piece makeup brush set from UNILOOK in a plastic case with a mirror The lid is hinged, and the mechanism that holds it in place is plastic. It's a bit flimsy, to be honest. Inside the case, there's space for the brushes and a mirror on the inside of the lid. The mirror is pretty good - it doesn't distort the image, but it didn't come with any protective coating.

I've been using this powder brush for a while now, and it's been a game-changer. It picks up product really well, and the soft, slightly fluffy bristles are a dream to work with. I give it a solid 5 out of 5.

I tried using this brush to apply blush, but it just didn't work for me. The bristles are straight and stiff, which makes it hard to get a smooth application. I think this brush would be better suited for applying foundation or tinted moisturizer. I've yet to try it out, so I'll reserve judgment for now. I give it a 3 out of 5.

I was really disappointed with this brush when it came to applying eyeshadow in the crease, but it's actually perfect for applying dry highlighter. The soft, gentle bristles make it easy to pick up and apply product, and it's great for getting a precise application. I give it a 5 out of 5.

I haven't tried using this brush with cream eyeshadow, but it's been a total disaster when it comes to applying powder eyeshadow. The bristles are too stiff, and it just doesn't pick up or apply product well at all. It's also not great for blending out harsh lines, which is a total bummer. I give it a 2 out of 5.

This little brush is a great addition to my makeup collection. It's just the right amount of stiff to get a precise application, and it's perfect for creating sharp lines or defining the lower lash line. I give it a 5 out of 5.

The bristles are artificial, but they're actually pretty pleasant to work with. They're securely attached to the plastic handles, and the hairs don't shed or poke out. The handles themselves are nice and smooth, with a glossy finish that feels comfortable in your hand. The brushes are easy to clean with just soap and water, and they dry quickly without losing their shape. I was also impressed that they didn't have any weird odors or shed excessively during washing. Don't get me wrong, these aren't pro-grade brushes, but they're perfect for beginners who want to practice at home. If you're looking for a decent, everyday makeup look, these brushes will get the job done – just be patient and take your time. Plus, the compact case and mirror make them super portable, so you can take them on-the-go. I'm actually pretty happy with these, so I'm gonna keep 'em around.
