A Rose in Disguise: How Trussardi's Delicate Rose Eau de Toilette Won Me Over
Hello there!
I've got a confession to make: I'm a total sucker for trying out new perfumes. My mom's a shopaholic, and she's always bringing home random samples she's not interested in anymore. I'm just as guilty of loving to try new things, so I'm always stoked to get my hands on them.
When I first saw the pyramid of scents for Trussardi Delicate Rose Eau de Toilette, I would've never picked it up. The reason? It's got rose in it, and I'm just not a fan of rose in my cosmetics or perfumes. And, given the name, it's no surprise.
But, that's where the surprise came in. I actually really enjoyed the scent, and I ended up taking it for myself and using it quite a bit.
Where I bought it: L'Étoile
Price: 3700 rubles
Volume: 30 ml
Country of origin: Italy
Year released: 2012
Trussardi Delicate Rose Eau de Toilette is the perfect choice for confident and strong women who know their worth. A harmonious blend of spicy and floral notes wraps the wearer in a magical aura, highlighting her elegance and femininity.
The packaging for this perfume is super delicate: a lovely rose-pink color that's not too flashy. No extra info or clutter to speak of, and it's got a nice texture to it.
All the details about the perfume are on the back and at the bottom of the box.
The bottle itself is simple yet elegant, with no harsh edges and rounded corners.
The glass is thick and transparent, and the rose-colored liquid inside gives it a lovely hue.The bottle is flat and compact, and it feels great in my hand.
The golden cap is a mirror finish, reflecting everything around it. On top of it, the brand's logo is embossed, but it looks a bit blurry due to the reflection in it.By weight, the cap is substantial, sits tightly, and doesn't wobble.
The atomizer is also flawless. It works perfectly, dispensing the perfume in a fine mist, without spraying or leaking.
The perfume belongs to the floral-fruity group of aromas.Pyrmaid:
Top notes: Yuzu, Bamboo, and Kumquat
Heart notes: Rose, Lotus, Apple, and Jasmine
Base notes: Musk, Sandal, Woody notes, and Cedar
My first impression of this perfume was that it's fresh and light - like someone brought a bouquet of freshly cut flowers right up to my nose, and amidst them, there's some juicy fruit. You can feel the fruity sweetness, but I couldn't quite identify which fruit it is.
In the 'heart' of the perfume lies the rose, which I'm not usually a fan of. But, in this case, the rose is soft, velvety, slightly powdery, and very feminine. It's modern, not 'grandma's attic.'
The rose doesn't dominate aggressively, but rather behaves delicately. You can feel a hint of light green freshness, a touch of sweetness, but without cloying.
The scent feels young and easy, not aged.
In the trail, there are warm, creamy, and slightly woody notes. They're not smoky, but rather enveloping.
The perfume doesn't have a crazy trail, although it's noticeable to those around you if they're nearby. With this perfume, you won't have that 'you've left, but it's still in the room' effect.
I think Delicate Rose is all about femininity and elegance. The scent is understated, not old-fashioned.
When I wear it, I feel like it's perfect for:
- a romantic date or a leisurely stroll,
- a daytime office look when I want to add a bit of flair,
- moments when I want to feel put-together and calm.
As for longevity, it lasts an average amount of time on my skin. The first 3-4 hours are noticeable, then it fades into a subtle trail.I think this scent is better suited for warmer weather because it's so delicate and unobtrusive. In colder months, it might get a bit lost.
It's a really pleasant, non-overpowering, and soft fragrance with a modern rose note. It's feminine, delicate, and not at all age-specific.
