A Delightful yet Flawed Body Butter
I recently stumbled upon the Touchy brand while searching for vetiver-scented cosmetics online. As someone who's obsessed with finding new products with this note, I have to admit that some finds have been great, while others have been a mixed bag. Let's dive into the details.
My Skin
I have a bit of a sensitive skin, prone to dermatitis. Over the years, I've found some working remedies for this affliction, including shea butter, its whipped form, and ceramide cream. However, using the same thing every day can get old, and my skin craves variety.

What I'm After
I'm on the lookout for a new cream with a tasty scent that I can use as a supplement to my usual moisturizer.I need maximum moisturizing properties, as the butter itself can't hydrate – it just doesn't have a water phase.I need good absorption, so I can moisturize my skin over the cream and not stand there feeling greasy for ages. It'd be great if it didn't contain phenoxethanol, as I often react to it, and essential oils can be irritating. Mint and cinnamon are great toners, but they exacerbate my condition. And, of course, I want it to smell nice – vetiver and chocolate are my top flavors. In theory, a body butter should cover all these needs.General Information

Proof of Purchase
Packaging:
The primary packaging looks like a scrapbooking album, which is both delicate and pretty. I almost want to go re-read the book by Olga Primachenko.
The little reminders to take care of yourself are so sweet.
I have to admit that the packaging is pretty limiting in terms of the target audience. I find it hard to imagine a guy who'd voluntarily buy a product with cute angels on it. Although the texture and scent are pretty neutral, our current product is definitely not for everyone.

The plastic bottle itself is of medium density and comes with a security seal to prevent tampering.

It's clear that no one's been able to sneak their fingers inside.
Aroma
And hello again! It looks like I've been left out of the loop on the cocoa again. There's no hint of it whatsoever. The dominant note here is bergamot, with a bit of vetiver in the background and a vague hint of ambery materials in the drydown. That's it. The cocoa is basically an afterthought, probably refined, because there's no real scent to speak of. But since it's listed on the ingredients, I'll give the manufacturer points for honesty.
Consistency
The 'butter' prefix is unnecessary here. This is a classic formula for a melting cream.
It absorbs in about five minutes, leaving a hydrated finish and just a hint of oiliness.
How it Works?
I have to admit, I didn't plan on using it as a solo product. My skin craves a multi-step routine. The cream was supposed to be a base before moisturizing, so the oil would have something to lock in. To be honest, my skin is super dry and can't hold onto moisture for long.
Moisturizing was a bit of a letdown. The product absorbs quickly, leaving behind a slightly damp feeling. It doesn't feel sticky or greasy, it just disappears into the skin. My skin feels nice to the touch, and the tightness after showering is gone. It seemed like the perfect base for oil, but unfortunately, the effect is short-lived.
When I use a cream with ceramides, lock it in with oil, and I'm good for the whole day without feeling the need to reapply, it's a different story here. Within an hour, I'm itching to apply more product.
Textures like this are great for an office hand cream, when you need to quickly hydrate your hands and get back to work. This formula can't play the long game, at least not on skin prone to dryness and flakiness.
Nourishment is also lacking, I can see it in my cuticles, which are way less dry and less prone to splitting when I use a good cream. With Touchy, the skin around my nails is still pretty dry.
I took the jar to the hallway, dubbed it the 'pre-outing hand cream', and that's where it would have stayed if not for a twist of fate.
My husband thought that since I told him to use it on his hands before going out, he could use it on himself too. One evening, I walked into the room and was hit with the scent of my favorite laundry detergent and a lovely vetiver and cardamom fragrance from my shirt. It all blended together so harmoniously that I couldn't help but take a deep sniff.
The scent on his warm skin was even more intense and irresistible. It added a creamy note that I hadn't noticed before.
My husband was pleased with the result and started using it regularly. Not bad, I thought, maybe I don't have to do the whole routine after all. And honestly, it smells great, so I'm not complaining.
The Battery Life is Definitely Longer with This Format, Since My Husband's Skin is Thicker. The Bottle Lasts for About 1.5 to 2 Weeks.
For skin without specific issues, this is more than enough, and my husband is happy with the fast absorption of the product, which allows him to use the gamepad within 10 minutes without any issues.
He's basically decided that this product is for men, and the simple packaging and masculine scent have done their job. Now, I just remove the box with the cute angels from the delivery and pretend it was always like that.
VERDICT: The Product Works Well on Skin Without Issues. However, for Skin That Struggles to Retain Moisture, it's Not Effective Even with a Combination of Treatments. Still, I Continue to Buy it as a Men's Fragrance Cream, and I'd Recommend it as an Express Care Product for Those with Skin That Doesn't Flake from Wearing Insoles.
