I've recently developed a taste for complex and intense fragrances.
Maybe it's just my age, but I'm starting to appreciate the nuances of a good scent.
When I'm in the mood for something special, I often find myself drawn to Tom Ford fragrances.
However, I'm not sure if I'm ready to commit to wearing Tom Ford Black Orchid – it's a bit too rich for my taste.
When I saw that BEA'S offered a smaller size of Tom Ford Black Orchid, I knew I had to try it.
It's a great addition to my collection of fragrances from BEA'S.

Tom Ford Black Orchid
I opted for the 20ml size, which is perfect for testing the scent.
It's a Turkish fragrance, which I find really interesting.
Ingredients and precautions are clearly listed on the packaging.
The fragrance comes with an expiration date, which is reassuring.
The fragrance is housed in a glass bottle, which is a nice touch.
I appreciate the fact that the fragrance number is clearly visible.
The lid closes tightly, which is great for travel.
The sprayer works flawlessly, making it easy to apply the fragrance.
The fragrance disperses evenly from the sprayer.
You don't have to hold it right up to your nose – the scent is subtle.It's almost invisible on my skin, which is a nice surprise.
You only need a couple of spritzes to get the desired effect.Two is even better, if you ask me!
I'm still not convinced this is a women's fragrance – to me, it's more of a unisex scent.
My husband didn't want to use it, though – he says it's too bitter.
I don't get any bitterness, though – my associations with the scent are different.
The top notes are what I notice first: it's like a combination of Ilang-Ilang and a thick, balsamic scent, with a hint of bergamot.
Bergamot, Gardenia, Jasmine, Ilang-Ilang, Lemon, Mandarin, Truffle, Black Currant, Peruvian Balsam
As it dries down, the middle notes take over – and Ilang-Ilang is still lingering.
Gardenia, Jasmine, Ilang-Ilang, Lotus, Orchid, Spices, Fruity notes
And then, of course, there are the base notes: for me, it's all about musk, patchouli, and sandalwood.
There's a hint of spices, too – although they were more prominent in the middle notes.

This scent is eerily similar to Black Orchid.
I decided to go with the mini version of Tom Ford's Bias, and I'm glad I did. It's all about the value for money, not the scent itself.
On Ozon, you can get the 20ml mini version for around 500-600 rubles.
But trust me, those 20ml will last a long time.
The scent has a strong, lingering trail.
When I use U 714 in the office, I can still smell it in the hallway for hours to come – and I'm not even kidding, I walk around the office a lot and change up my scents!
No one's complained about the scent being overpowering, which is great.
I don't overdo it, by the way – two spritzes are my max.
The scent is incredibly long-lasting – I can still smell it on my scarf after a week.
