Dear friends, we've just returned from our family vacation at the Moreno Horizon Spa & Resort in Hurghada, Egypt, and we're eager to share our fresh impressions with you.

Moreno Horizon Spa & Resort 4* If you're short on time and want to know whether this resort is worth visiting, I'll ask you a simple question: how much are you willing to pay for a vacation in this wonderful place?

We paid 100,000 RUB for 8 nights (December 11th - 19th) for two people and 130,000 RUB for three people with a 12-year-old child. The operator was Bilibogus, and we flew with Aeroflot. These prices are definitely worth it, and you can book without hesitation. In fact, it's now the cost of a budget vacation in Sochi.

However, if the price is higher, I recommend reading this review to understand what to expect.

As I mentioned in the title, be prepared for a tight-lipped vacation. We joked that it's not the Moreno Horizon, but the Moreno Garrison!

Be prepared to wake up at 6 am to secure a sunbed, or you'll be out of luck. And be prepared to fight for spots in the buffet lines and bars.

But don't worry, it's not all bad. If you wake up early, you'll see a beautiful sunrise over the sea, the queues move relatively quickly, and it's not too exhausting. However, there's plenty of food and drink to go around, and it's not good for you...

Let's start with the resort itself.

From the outside, it's not impressive, with a worn-out appearance. The reception area is uninviting and dirty.

The port and a nearby wasteland.It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the marina. The road is unpleasant, with a view of trash. You can either walk or take a taxi for $1, which is always available near the resort.

Now, let's move on to the rooms and buildings. When I first entered our room, I wanted to cry and change hotels immediately. I offered to pay for a different room, but the resort was fully booked, and I had to wait until the next day.

Our room.However, after a good night's sleep, I thought, 'Okay, it's not so bad.' The beds were large and comfortable, the bedding was clean and white, and the view of the wasteland was actually a plus! It was quiet, and we slept well.

The room itself.The furniture was old but sturdy. The bathroom was not impressive, and we didn't have hot water, only slightly warm. However, at least the shower didn't leak like my relatives' did.

We kept the balcony door open to get some fresh air, which helped with the unpleasant smell in the room.

Now, let's take a walk around the resort. The territory is well-maintained and beautiful.

The resort also has two other pools with an aqua park. They're not heated, but the water slides were always working.

I was impressed by the beach the most. When I choose a vacation in Egypt, I look for a beach with a coral reef, as I consider it a crime to swim in the Red Sea without a mask!

The reef in the resort is excellent, with a variety of fish and a lively atmosphere. You can safely swim along the buoys, and the fish will swim right up to the shore.

One minus about the beach is that behind the green wall, there's a wasteland where our rooms were located.

The wasteland.There are also sewage pipes leading directly into the sea. I don't know what they're dumping, but it's not pleasant. Fortunately, we didn't get sick, although we spent a whole day in the sea.
