More on that later in my review.Then, my husband accidentally pressed the cat's paw with the window sash when he was closing the window without checking if the cat was outside. I was in the kitchen, and I didn't even see it happen. When I came back, Coksi was limping and meowing in pain.Paw/toe The result was a severely sprained right front paw that the cat couldn't put weight on for a month. It was really tough emotionally. We didn't know what to do, just like the vets. Coksi was constantly 'whining' and 'complaining' about his paw. I went to the vet pharmacy to buy some painkillers and wanted to buy Onsior, but it's only sold in vet clinics, so I ended up buying Vetprofen instead, which is cheaper.PRICE
378 rubles for 10 tablets, while Onsior costs 250 rubles per tablet in the vet clinic. That's a pretty big difference, if you ask me.

Folding the plastic blister is a cinch, and popping out a tablet is effortless. Each tablet has a dividing line, so you can easily split it into halves or quarters if needed.The tablets have a light beige color. Inside the cardboard box, I also found the instruction manual. ADMINISTRATIONKetoprofen is administered orally to animals once a day, at the recommended dose of 1 tablet per 30 kg of body weight.
The treatment course varies from 3 to 5 days, depending on the animal's condition, and is determined by a licensed veterinarian.
I decided to give Koxik a tablet with their food, but it didn't quite work out as planned. I was surprised to see that my cat had been eating the tablets with his food up until this point. What I want to highlight is that my cat wasn't limping or putting weight on his injured paw. In fact, he even learned to hop around on three legs.
My cat was eating his food, but the tablet was a different story. Either he could smell or taste it, but he wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. I tried putting the tablet back in his food, but he still wouldn't touch it. He just plain ignored it. I had to resort to the most basic method of administering the tablet - just opening his mouth and placing it as far back as possible, then closing his mouth and stroking his throat from top to bottom to trigger the swallowing reflex. And, of course, there's always the risk of getting bitten.I was just happy to capture the moment THE ACTION The tablet started to take effect around 30 minutes later, and my cat stopped meowing in pain. He even started to relax and eventually fell asleep. The effects of the tablet lasted around 3-4 hours, after which my cat would start to remember about his injured paw again.
Days went by, but my cat wasn't getting any better. We decided to take him to the vet, who took an X-ray and confirmed that his paw was fine - no breaks, no sprains, everything was normal. But he just couldn't put weight on it.We were prescribed Onsior again, although I said I'd give him other painkillers, and they told me Onsior would last for 24 hours. We bought 5 tablets, which cost us 1,250 rubles, plus the vet visit, X-ray, and minus 5,000 from our wallet.The Onsior tablets turned out to be identical in effect, about 3-4 hours the cat behaved calmly, and then he started complaining about his leg (paw). So don't overpay and believe the vets who only know these (Onsior) tablets, and they don't do too badly on them either.
Time went by, and the pain in the leg didn't go away, and we were recommended to see a specialist who comes from another city once a month (there's a recording about this in the conclusion). We had to wait for the specialist for 2 weeks.
Here he's asking to go out, which we hadn't let him do for a long time because of his paw.The cat only calmed down on our hands, and then they say animals aren't children.He learned to move around, stand on three legs. Honestly, we thought the husband had damaged the tendons and that our little kitten would gradually lose the activity of his fourth leg.Time went by, and the cat gradually started putting weight on the leg, and about 1.5 months later, he was running with all four again. So, at the moment, everything is okay with our cat. He's grateful for our care and love for him.CONCLUSIONDon't believe the vets who recommend expensive tablets that will help your pet forget about the pain for 24 hours. If the injury or wound is severe, the effect of the medication will be identical to that of cheaper analogues.
Vetoprofen became an assistant in relieving our cat's pain, although not for long, but he could at least take a break and recover his strength.
