Epin Extra Plant Growth Regulator
The Surprising Power of Epin: My Unbelievable Results
summarizeEditor's Summary
I've been gardening for years, but it's not always easy to get gorgeous seedlings. Some plants can be super finicky, and it's frustrating when they just won't sprout from their seeds. That's where plant stimulators come in - you soak the seeds in them to reduce stress and try to revive dying seedlings. I used to take plant stimulators for granted, but this year I conducted an experiment and the results were mind-blowing. I bought Epin at a local gardening store near my home and was surprised by its effectiveness. I've had my share of fakes, but you can easily spot them, even without opening the package. I learned this the hard way when I bought Epin at a market in the village from some traveling vendors for a super attractive price - 20 rubles. When I got home, I opened the package, and instead of a plastic ampule, I found a glass one. That's impossible, as Epin is a liquid that needs to be measured in drops, and any leftover needs to be sealed with a cap. My doubts disappeared when I tried to use the contents as intended - the solution didn't bubble up like it's supposed to. I've shown how Epin usually behaves in a solution in the photo. I was probably just getting water, so now I always check by feel what's inside. But that was the only time I got duped. The back of the packaging has all the ways to use Epin Extra listed. Almost all of this I've tried, but until this month I could only say one thing about this stimulant: IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING BETTER. Now I can tell and show how well it can do BETTER. I really love my roses, and I practice watering them with Epin under the root + spraying them every now and then. I've tried reviving two almost dead rose bushes, not just watering under the root but also wrapping them in a cloth soaked in Epin solution - the result was 50/50. What was completely dead, didn't come back to life: But the second root, which looked just as hopeless, suddenly came back to life (although it's also possible that Fitosporyn is responsible, even I think it's Fitosporyn that's responsible). I ordered seeds online last year, but I was too lazy to go to the store for Epin, so I decided to just wing it and soak the tomato and dill seeds in water for a few hours. Then, like usual, I laid them out on a paper towel, the towel in a container, the container in a bag, and waited for them to sprout. It was April 2nd. But after a week, I was getting worried because nothing was happening. Okay, dill seeds can take a while to germinate, but tomatoes always sprouted within 5 days, and that was the maximum. I was really disappointed because I had ordered a rare variety of fluffy tomatoes, and I was really looking forward to seeing them this year. My gardening friends told me the seeds were hopeless, that they should have sprouted by now. But I decided to give them another chance, so on April 17th, I bought Epin and soaked the seeds in it the same day. I left the old seeds alone. And then, five days later, this happened: The ones I soaked in Epin sprouted in 5 days, just like I expected, while the seeds from April 2nd (without Epin) were still covered in dark mold and hadn't sprouted yet. Two more days went by: And finally, on the 22nd day, the seeds that didn't have Epin sprouted. Just think about the difference: 22 days without Epin and 5 days with it! I'm both thrilled and amazed. While I used to just hear rumors about Epin being a powerful plant stimulator, I'm now 100% convinced it's the real deal. Maybe it's thanks to Epin that I'll finally get to see those fluffy tomatoes this year. And for the future, I know I'll never ignore Epin again, because with it, I get healthy and robust seedlings every time.
