Hello everyone!
This review is all about the massage experience I had at "The Secret", a hidden gem in the heart of Voronezh.
It's been on my to-do list for ages, and I've finally gotten around to writing this review. The exact address of the salon is 29 Kukolkinskaya Street - it's right in the center, opposite the GCH.I'm a big fan of body massages - they're a great way to relax, improve your health, and just feel good. I've tried loads of different types, but never a Thai massage before. Well, I've finally ticked that off my list!
The salon offers a range of programs:
"Traditional Thai massage""Aroma-oil""Stone-volcano massage""Herb-filled pouch massage""Seaweed massage""Slim massage""Phoenix bird""Pharaoh's secret""Energy source""Sweet dreams""Flying above the ground""A trip to Thailand""Burning hearts"As you can see, there are loads of options. They're all based on traditional Thai massage, but the specifics depend on the length of the procedure, any additional treatments, and how many people are getting the massage - it's either one-to-one or with a partner. Prices vary accordingly, with the minimum being 2500 rubles and the maximum being 7500 rubles.
You can check out the official website for more information on services and prices.
What really drew me in was the fact that the salon employs absolute Thai masseuses from Thailand itself. The girls come to Voronezh on a contract to do traditional Thai massages. It's similar to Baunty, but apparently cheaper. Plus, you can't even book a session at Baunty.
I opted for the two-hour "Aroma-oil" program.
The oil massage is a game-changer. It's a complete relaxation experience that leaves you feeling totally calm and serene. The technique is unlike anything I've tried before, and the natural essential oils used are a nice touch. The massage itself is a work of art, with the therapist actively engaging your energy points to release any tension or stress.
This is a Thai massage in a lighter form, perfect for those who want to experience the benefits without feeling too intense.
When you step into the salon, you feel like you're entering a different world. The scent of incense, soft lighting, wooden stairs, and flowers all around (even if they're artificial) create a peaceful atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. At the reception, you're greeted by a friendly administrator who's happy to answer any questions you may have.
The interior design is sleek and modern, with everything made of wood and curtains or something similar on the ceiling. There's a cozy seating area with comfortable armchairs and a couch. I was impressed by the attention to detail.
I had to wait for a bit, as the herbal barrel hadn't fully warmed up by the time I arrived.Everything's disposable, including the slippers and towels.
I spent around 15 minutes in the barrel (you could stay longer if you wanted).
After my shower, the Thai massage therapist started the massage. And it's absolutely divine. It's really nice when they massage your body from head to toe. The highlight was when she massaged my head. It's just amazing. I've never felt that level of relaxation before. The music playing in the background is also really pleasant to the ear and relaxing. The massage lasted around an hour. The therapist knows a few words of Russian, like 'good', 'painful', or 'please'. So, you won't get bored with small talk (unless they start speaking Thai).
After the massage, I headed to the tea room.
These sofas and chairs are amazing. I'm totally craving them for my own home now. They're super comfy to lounge on. I had a delicious green tea and sat there for exactly 20 minutes – no one rushed me or disturbed my peace. However, I did deduct a star because I spotted a tiny cockroach. I'm guessing it hitched a ride from the five-story building's trash chute. But even that little guy couldn't ruin my relaxation time.I'm really pleased with my experience, though.
I'll definitely be back for the massage with rice bags and traditional Thai massage – it's hard to find a professional Thai masseuse in our city.
I highly recommend visiting 'Tainu'!
