Meet the Crocodile-Cat: A Furry, Winged Mutant with an Appetite for Adventure

summarizeEditor's Summary

This book is a non-stop thrill ride from start to finish. The author's smooth writing style had me hooked from the very beginning, and the two-perspective narrative made it easy to become fully immersed in the story. The plot twists are relentless, with barely a moment to catch your breath. While the book's 400 pages may seem daunting, trust me when I say it's worth the investment – you'll be devouring every word in no time. With complex characters, moral dilemmas, and a healthy dose of suspense, this book has something for everyone. I loved how the author wove together the different storylines, keeping me guessing until the very end. The characters are multi-dimensional and relatable, making it easy to become invested in their struggles. The themes of morality and justice are timely and thought-provoking, adding depth to the story. The author's use of descriptive language brings the world to life, making it easy to visualize the settings and characters. Overall, this book is a must-read for anyone who loves a good story.

📌I'll give you the short version: this story is a wild ride. From the first page, the author drops you right into the action and doesn't let go until the very end. There's only a brief pause in the middle, but the plot twists keep coming thick and fast. The heroine's inner turmoil and the hero's struggles just add to the tension. The author's writing style is smooth and engaging. The story's told from two different perspectives, which makes it easy to get sucked in. I devoured it in no time, because the plot had me hooked from start to finish. It's not a short book, but it's worth the investment. ⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳ 📌Let's dive into the plot I've got a bone to pick with people who think they're above the law just because they're wealthy. If you've got money, that doesn't give you the right to belittle and bully others. And the worst part is when someone else takes credit for your hard work. What's that all about? I'm talking about characters like Raven from our world and then another one. It's like one soul split into two. One face, one profession, but both are black, ugly, miserable, and mercenary. And what about the Hippocratic Oath? Does it only apply to the poor? And if our world was all about greed, then the other world wasn't any different. ⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳ 📌On to the next part I loved how the heroine ended up in another world. She didn't die, like you'd expect, but instead jumped into the water to save a kid and ended up in a different world. And if you're lucky, you might even be able to go back. But here's the question: if there's a copy of the director and her son in the other world, then does that mean there's a copy of the main character in our world too? That was bugging me for a while, but eventually, I just got caught up in the story. And I felt bad for the heroine. If you're an orphan and nobody's got your back, you're basically fair game. It's not fair. ⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳ 📌A bit more of the story It's not fun getting stuck in a world and having to deal with someone else's problems. And to make matters worse, you've got to clean up after the previous person's mess. And how do you decide between someone you hate and someone who's a threat? Can you even trust anyone in this dark place? At first, I felt sorry for the heroine. Everyone was pulling her strings, and she didn't even know how to react. I was surprised she didn't develop a bad attitude, considering she grew up in a loving family. But hey, we're all different and raised differently. ⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳ 📌Secondary characters I'm only going to mention one character who shows up much later. • The cat, also known as Catface – a dragon. I wanted to see this troublemaker get taken down a peg. He's a bit of a sneak and always trying to manipulate the situation. He's like a worm – always squirming around and saying nothing. You have to figure things out yourself. No, he won't just come out and tell you everything. He'll just drop little hints and then say, ““Tight squeeze... not fun at all!” – muttered the little dragon, – "but I won't explain anything... until someone pours me some milk! I've had a stressful day, saving you two, by the way!””. If he had just told everyone everything right off the bat, the story would have been different. But at least he said something. Yeah, he's cute and likable, but also a bit of a handful. ⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳•⨳ 📌The villain For most of the story, I thought the main antagonist was just one person. Everyone else was just a side character. But then I got a rude awakening when I realized I was wrong
Now, let's get into the nitty-gritty. I've got to say, the villain wasn't just a one-dimensional character waiting to pounce. They were quietly biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Even the special effects were top-notch.

Love story
I'm still trying to wrap my head around my thoughts on the romance. Let's break it down. First, what I loved was that even with a clear moral compass, love doesn't just magically appear. It's more like understanding that you're more comfortable, happier, and more at ease with this person. Second, sympathy and falling in love do happen gradually. However, the heroine's 'I love you, but I don't' moments started to get on my nerves. I get where she was coming from, but I felt like shaking her out of it. That being said, this is purely my personal take. Some people might love this aspect of the story.

The climax and conclusion
The most thrilling show with special effects was saved for the climax. My nerves were on edge, and I had no idea what was coming. Kudos to the author for that. As the story unfolded, I was on the edge of my seat. It was a wild ride with so many twists and turns. The conclusion was sweet and a bit vanilla, but ultimately happy. Both characters had gone through a lot, and they deserved their happy ending.

The characters
• Yana or Ariana - she's a pop star and a doctor. She's a fish in water in her profession, and it's clear she loves her job and is willing to put everything on the line to save her patients. She's beautiful, energetic, and a bit naive. The other world really brought out the best in her. With each chapter, she grew as a person, becoming more confident and wise. She transformed from a shy, timid girl to a strong, independent woman.
___
• Miral - he's a dragon. If I didn't know his situation, I would have sent him to a psychiatrist. He clearly has a split personality. However, since we know his backstory, we can understand his actions better. He's charming, strong, intelligent, and clever. I loved his assertiveness, but his nerves are something to envy. He had his fair share of close calls with the heroine, but he never lost his cool.

My verdict
This is a fantastic story. I didn't expect it to be so intense or emotional. I thought it would be a light-hearted tale with some romance and adventure. But what I got was a wild ride with a lot of depth. I'll never forget the scene with the heroine's mom. It was incredible. At first, I was shocked, and then I couldn't stop laughing. There's a bit of positivity in the story too, like the one cat who tries to bring some levity to an otherwise tense situation.
