A Total Waste of Money - This Cleaner Won't Even Budge Dirt
I've been reviewing products for a while now, but I've never written about anything that's left me as disappointed as this cleaner. My husband brought it home, thinking it would be a great way to clean our car's interior. But let me tell you, it's been a total bust.
First, we tried using it on our car's upholstery. The foam just spread the dirt around, making it look worse than before. We thought maybe it was just our car, so we decided to give it another shot on our couch. That's when we realized just how bad it was.
Our couch has been a mess for years, but this cleaner just made it look like a disaster zone. The foam applied unevenly, leaving clumps all over the place. And even after multiple applications, the dirt was still there. It was like it was just smearing the dirt around instead of actually cleaning it.
We were both frustrated and disappointed with the results. The manufacturer claims it breaks down in 1-2 minutes, but that was definitely not our experience. We left it on for hours, but the dirt was still there. It was like it was just a mess, plain and simple.
We even tried using it on our car seats, but it didn't work any better. In fact, it seemed to make things worse. The dirt was spreading across the fabric, making it look like a total disaster.
Needless to say, we wouldn't recommend this cleaner to anyone. It's a total waste of money, and we feel like we got ripped off. The price was already pretty steep, but considering the results, it's just ridiculous. We ended up throwing the cans away, and we're still trying to figure out how to get the dirt out of our couch.
Looking back, I wish we had done more research before buying it. But we thought it was a good idea at the time. Now, I'm just hoping that others will learn from our mistake and avoid this cleaner at all costs.
The design of the can itself is a dark blue color with a rectangular logo of car seats. You can see the promise right there: this foam cleaner replaces dry cleaning. The promises are big and enticing: it dissolves stains, suitable for cleaning upholstery, plastic, floors, and ceilings.
My husband took the sales pitch seriously and bought two cans right off the bat. The reverse side of the can has more detailed info in three languages. The product comes out of the can in foam form. When you press the button, it comes out in a stream.
The foam should be distributed evenly, but it's applied in clumps. Even though the product flows continuously while you're pressing the button, it settles on the surface in clumps, like little bumps, and doesn't cover the entire surface. When you apply the product to the surface you're cleaning, you can see a cloud of white stuff that settles on the surface over time.
Some of the product accumulates on the nozzle, though. Hands down, the worst part of this product was the foam. I was seriously annoyed by how often I had to clean it, especially when I'd move it to the couch.
The manufacturer claims it breaks down in 1-2 minutes. I decided to test this by cleaning half of the couch, and right in the middle, I could see a huge buildup of dirt and stains.
I had to reapply the foam multiple times to the same spot because, as I mentioned earlier, the foam didn't distribute evenly across the couch, instead it settled in small patches, giving the impression that the foam is designed for spot cleaning, not for larger areas.
And yet, the product sprays out of the packaging as a light, airy substance, but somehow it settles unevenly. At first, I left the product on for 10 minutes to let it work its magic. And I have to mention again, how the foam lies, in clumps.
I let the couch dry, after a couple of hours, I could already evaluate the results, and unfortunately, the dirt was still there. The photos show that there are still dirty patches.
I reapplied the foam again, only half the amount. I was really looking forward to testing this cleaner on my sofa, so I waited about an hour for it to arrive. Then, I armed myself with a brush and got to work on cleaning half of the sofa.
Right in the middle of the sofa, it was painfully obvious how the dirt was spreading across the fabric. After a couple of hours, when the top layer had dried, I could see that the sofa still wasn't clean. The dirt had just been smeared across the sofa, but it hadn't actually been removed. This cleaner was ineffective not just for the sofa's upholstery, but also for the car seats.
I didn't even bother trying to clean the pillows, I just removed the filling and put it in bags.
I have to admit, I was a bit surprised to find out that the cover for my pillows can be washed in a washing machine. Too bad the same can't be said for the upholstery of my sofa.
Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this Geometria cleaning product, which I bought at Svetofor, to anyone. And to make matters worse, it's also available at WB for 427 rubles, where people are equally unhappy with its performance. Meanwhile, I got ripped off for 290 rubles for two cans that ended up in the trash.
Don't even get me started on the price. It's outrageous, especially considering the results. I mean, who wants to spend that kind of money on a product that doesn't even work?
