Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well.
I wanted to share my experience of visiting the spa complex at the TES hotel in Evpatoria, Crimea.
I don't get to Evpatoria very often, but whenever I do, I always make sure to check out the baths at the TES hotel.
I love coming here with my family. The spa complex has plenty of saunas, a big pool, but it can get really crowded on weekends.
Where is it located:
The spa complex is situated in the heart of Evpatoria city, at Pushkina St, 16a.
Evpatoria, Pushkina St, 16a
You can get here from the train station by taking a marshrutka or a tram. There's a small parking lot near the hotel where you can park for free.
Prices:
When I book a room at the hotel, I don't have to pay extra for the spa access.
If we're just coming for the day, it costs 1400 rubles per adult on weekdays and 1800 on weekends and holidays.
You'll need to buy a ticket to get into the aqua-thermal complex.
They'll give you a robe, towels, and slippers for free at the reception.

Spa Complex:
The spa complex is a two-story building.
The first floor is always pretty noisy because of the pool.
The second floor is much quieter.
I always try to get here early to avoid the crowds.
It's not just hotel guests who come here, but locals and visitors looking to relax for a few hours.
One of the things I love about this spa complex is the abundance of loungers and tables with stools. There are also super comfy chairs and sofas where you can really settle in.
The floors aren't slippery, but I'd advise against wearing slippers here - they get soaked and become a hazard. It's much better to bring shoes with good grip, like flip flops or sneakers.
I'm not a fan of coming here in the summer, to be honest. It's just too hot and there's no point in sweating it out in the sauna.
That being said, I do enjoy visiting this spa complex in the spring, autumn, and winter. There's something about the crisp air that makes it feel really rejuvenating.
Ground Floor:
The ground floor is where you'll find the relaxation areas. There are plenty of loungers, each with its own little table to put your stuff on.

Russian Sauna:
The Russian sauna is located right here, and it's a big one.
Just a heads up: no oils are allowed in the sauna. But there's always a bucket of cold water nearby, so you can take a dip to cool off.
I really love the sauna - it's super comfortable, and I like to climb up high to really get the full effect.
There's also a 'bucket shower' right next to the sauna, where you can splash some cold water on yourself to refresh.
And, of course, there are regular shower stalls as well.

Sauna:
I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle the sauna is - it's perfect for little kids. Not only can you sit, but you can also lie down.
The steam comes out regularly, and you can even control the process yourself.
There's a sensor in the sauna that detects when you pour cold water, and the steam output increases significantly.
The sauna has a copper tub and two copper basins, so you can fill up water and wash your face.

Spa Experience in the Sauna:
I'm a big fan of the peeling sessions, and I think they do an amazing job here.
My body was completely exfoliated after just one session - it was incredible!
And if you apply some aromatic oil after that, it's absolute bliss!

Pedestal:
Unfortunately, the pedestal wasn't working during my last visit, which was a shame.
I love filling it up with water and warming up my feet - it's pure relaxation!
Not many people use the pedestal, but I only discovered its charm a year ago.
Before that, I didn't even pay attention to these 'tubs'.
After a session in the pedestal, my legs feel incredibly light and refreshed.

Pool:
Located on the ground floor, it's not super long, just 15 meters, and about 7-8 meters wide.
I love going there early in the morning, around 8 am, and having the pool to myself!
The pool has a geyser, waterfall, and a current. I'm really fond of the current.
Getting in and out is super easy, with both stairs and a gentle slope.
The pool isn't very deep, so my husband can walk across it easily.
There's a 'Mermaid' constantly cleaning the pool to keep it sparkling.
However, if you go to the pool after lunch, it's packed and the atmosphere is far from relaxing.
There are a lot of kids splashing around, screaming, and having a blast.

Air Conditioners:
It's surprisingly warm in the spa complex during winter. The air conditioners work for both cooling and heating.
For example, in January when the outside temperature is around -5 degrees Celsius, the temperature in the aqua-thermal complex is a comfortable 26-28 degrees Celsius.
I even had to open the window next to my lounger a few times to cool down.

Sauna:
There's a sauna on the first floor, but getting in is a challenge.
The sauna is tiny and usually crowded with kids. It can only fit 4 people, and the water jets are quite weak.
I've never seen such an uncomfortable sauna in my life. I only visited it twice, and that was enough for me.
There are always a lot of young kids being left in the sauna without diapers...
The administrators keep an eye on things in the spa complex and constantly remind parents to keep their kids in diapers while in the sauna.
However, the staff can't always keep up with what's happening in the spa complex...
Second Floor:
Relaxation Areas:
Heading up to the second floor makes for a much cozier and quieter experience. You'll rarely find kids up here, as they're usually splashing around in the hot tub and pool on the first floor.
The second floor is the perfect spot to unwind!

You'll find plenty of comfortable seating areas, including tables where you can settle in with a snack or meal. Many guests like to order in pizza, sushi, and other treats.

Cafeteria:
The hotel has a cafeteria and a coffee machine.
You can order hot pizza, ice cream, various desserts, hot and cold beverages in the cafeteria.
Prices are reasonable here. For example, a cup of coffee costs around 80 rubles, and ice cream starts at 60 rubles.

There's a ton of chill spots nearby the cafe. You can grab a table, catch a show on TV, or just vibe out to some tunes.

Salt Room:
This room is right next to the cafe. It's basically a salt lover's paradise in here.
They've got these comfy little stools and a few lounge chairs scattered around.
I love coming here after a sauna session - it's always nice and cool, and super relaxing.
They've got some classy tunes playing, and the lighting's really nice too.
I didn't get to snap a ton of pics in here, though - there were people around, and I didn't want to be that person who's always taking photos and posting them online.

Corridor:
This place is huge and really open. They've got all sorts of shells on display along the walls.
The only bummer is that people keep stealing the shells as souvenirs.
I've noticed that the aqua-thermal complex staff are constantly replenishing the shelves with shells. I'm not sure where they're getting them all from - it's impressive.

Shower:
The showers are located on the first and second floors of the bath complex.
I wouldn't recommend just using cold water - it's better to mix it with some hot.

Finnish Sauna:
I only managed to take a few photos of the bath area because there were people in the sauna.
The sauna is massive and extremely dry - not everyone's cup of tea.
Personally, I can only handle it for 10 minutes or less.
It's a good idea to bring a towel or blanket with you, as it gets incredibly hot in there.

Mind-Blowing:
On the second floor, just like on the first, you'll find a variety of shower cabins.

Infrared Sauna:
This is my absolute favorite sauna that warms you up from the inside.
I can stay in it for 20 minutes without any issues.
The heat is distributed evenly, and there's no torrent of sweat from the very beginning.
Many people think infrared saunas are gentle, but I wouldn't agree. I love that here you can warm up your back and legs too.
Each sauna has a thermometer and a timer. When I enter the sauna, I always make sure to flip the timer and sit for 15 minutes.

Saunas in the Spa Complex. Crimea, Yevpatoria, TES-Hotel
Maroccan Sauna:
This one's almost like a hammam, but with two rooms instead. One's longer and less hot, while the other is hotter with plenty of steam.
The temperature here is much higher than in a regular hammam. It's a super cozy sauna.
Eupatoria's TES Hotel Spa Complex, Crimea
Aroma Room:
Blissful calm and harmony. Perfect spot to unwind.
The room smells amazing with natural essential oils, there's soothing music playing, and nature documentaries on the TV.
It's a bit tucked away, and many guests walk right past this awesome spot.
The temperature is just right – not too hot or cold. You can totally relax and immerse yourself in the natural atmosphere and scents!

Verdict:
Having tried all the spa complexes in Evpatoria, I can confidently say that TES is, in my opinion, the best aqua-thermal complex.
The layout is super convenient, with plenty of saunas and a great pool. But the best time to visit is early in the morning, when you can fully appreciate the bliss of the steam rooms and relaxation.
I love that they've got designated chill-out areas and a small café on site.
I'd definitely come back on weekdays when it's less crowded.
Weekends and holidays can be tricky, as they often prioritize hotel guests over day visitors.
So, if you're planning to visit during peak hours and there's no room availability, it's almost impossible to get in without a reservation!
To avoid disappointment, I recommend calling TES Hotel ahead of time to check if they're open to day visitors on your chosen date.
There are plenty of saunas to choose from.
The two-story design is really nice.
The café is great.
The salt room is a nice touch.
The aromatherapy room is lovely.
The spa area is spotless.
Weekends and holidays can get super crowded.
I've seen a lot of little kids sitting in the hot tub without diapers.
Verdict:
I'd definitely recommend checking out the spa complex at TES Hotel.
