Hello everyone!
I've never been a gym person, but at 38, I decided to treat myself and start swimming. Living in a big city in the Moscow region, I found it tough to find a good pool in Reutov, where I live. I spent ages reading reviews, trying to decide. I even invited a friend over and decided that swimming would be great for me, especially since I used to work as a salesperson and was on my feet for 12 hours a day, which really took a toll on my back...

I was pleasantly surprised by the building's location - it's right across from the city courthouse. There's a parking lot right across the street, which is super convenient. The building itself looks modern and sleek, and the interior is spotless. I always make sure to wear my clean slippers when I enter.
Most of my visits were in the morning, so I could have the rest of the day free. It was a great way to start my day, if you ask me.

Fitness Territory, Reutov, Novokosino Jubilee St, 43 reviewsOne thing that caught me off guard was the extra cost for a membership card or fitness tracker on top of the subscription fee – it's around 700 rubles. The good news is that it's securely attached, with plenty of holes to fit different wrist sizes. So far, I've been wearing it non-stop without any issues.I remember asking the staff about the cancellation fee at the beginning, and they told me it would be around 16 trillion rubles for a 6-month contract. I was a bit taken aback by that, but I decided to go ahead and sign the contract anyway.
Turnstiles
Fitness club 'Territory Fitness' starts with turnstiles. You just need to press your wristband against the turnstile, and it will scan your face to let you in. It's a pretty cool system, if you ask me.
The reception staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Throughout the year, except for summer, there's usually one or two staff members who take care of the changing room and hand out number tags. It's a pretty efficient system, if you ask me.
I've noticed that some reviewers have been complaining about the club not taking responsibility for lost cards and other issues. But it's all clearly stated in the terms and conditions, and I'm not sure what kind of person would leave their card in their jacket pocket and then complain about it.

I printed out the schedule from the office and hung it on my fridge with a magnet. It shows which days the gym is open. My friend didn't get a printed schedule.
Cost:
When I talked to the manager, the cost was one price. But they had discounts around New Year's, so the price dropped to 40 rubles. People who already go to the gym get special perks. My friend's mom, who's a pensioner, pays 32 rubles for her membership.
Pool:
The pool has a temperature gauge and a clock on the wall. The water's at 28 degrees Celsius, and the air's at 30 degrees Celsius. But I always felt a bit chilly when I got out. The water temperature varies on different lanes. After swimming, my swimsuit smelled like chlorine, and I had to wash it multiple times with shampoo.
There's a hammam inside the pool area, and another one in the locker room. The locker room has a keycard lock. I wore a fitness tracker during my visit.
There are plenty of shower stalls. I saw the cleaning staff often. They have a lot of hair dryers to dry your hair with.
Trainer
I was repeatedly reminded by the manager that I could take any trainer for free, but I never took them up on the offer.
I just observed from the sidelines. There was one trainer who was constantly picking his nose while working with a kid, occasionally touching him to show how to hold their body...
When it was winter, everyone was all snotty. One time, a trainer came in wearing a mask, but when working with a group, she took it off.
I sometimes did aqua aerobics (group classes were free). It's tough to follow the trainer's movements in the water. Sometimes my fingers would cramp up... I guess I was working too hard, so I eventually stopped.
Music
It's either there or it's not. Without it, it's really boring. Many people swam with their headphones on.
After New Year's, the regular pool in our town closed, and for some reason, all the pensioners who had bought annual memberships started coming here to the fitness center for free. Not only was it hard to get in, but the lanes were always occupied. There were these athletes swimming laps and doing breaststroke... They were just splashing everywhere. And then there were these older women who were swimming against the current, chatting away. One couple told me, 'What am I doing on their lane? I'm just getting in the way...'. I was also wondering where these poor pensioners were getting the money to buy an annual membership...?
Client Relationship
There's nothing to complain about here. There's a separate room with several sales managers. I initially came to ask about prices, and for some reason, my friends got a different quote... lower than mine. The people who came after me also asked about prices, and they had different quotes too.
I went back and asked about the 6-month classes, how I felt... But they pushed me to take a year and said it was cheaper... I thought about it for a long time, looked at other gyms, but since we're in the suburbs, there aren't many fitness clubs with pools near us in Reutov. So, I decided to give it a try, strengthen my back, and get into sports.
Just before New Year's, my manager called me and said they had discounts and that the membership was now 40 rubles. I thought about it again, weighed my options... and decided to give it a shot.
I had a personal manager on WhatsApp. I could ask her anything, freeze my card, but I never did.

💕💕💕 My impressions 💕💕💕
💕 Going to Pilates and dance classes
I went to dance class once, but then I thought I had a lot of energy, so I went to Pilates instead. There were a lot of people, actually, during the day. And after that, I was sore for a week and didn't have the energy to go anywhere.
Fitness territory, Reutov, Novokosino, Jubilee pr., 43 reviews💕 Going to the poolI had a small transparent bag with everything I needed (slippers, hat, cream, massager). There were free towels and hair dryers available.
At first, I went every day, then every other day... And then the cold weather set in. It was slippery, icy. After I fell on my stomach, I didn't feel like going to the pool anymore. Plus, I was afraid of getting sick. Because after the pool, going out onto the cold street... I decided to wait for better weather. You could take a taxi, but I didn't want to spend the money.
I have to admit, my daily routine used to be pretty packed. I'd hit the gym in the morning and then head to the pool for a swim. But to be honest, I was running on fumes most days.
Then I got sick for a week, and after that, I found out I was pregnant. So, I had to adjust my schedule to accommodate my new body. I'd go to the gym a few times a week, but I'd skip the weekends because it was just too crowded.
As the holiday season approached, I noticed the pool was getting busier than usual. There were seniors from the nearby gym that had closed down for renovations, and it was chaos. I started going to the pool after lunch instead of in the morning, but it was still a madhouse with all the school kids and group classes.
As my belly grew, it became harder to navigate the stairs and get in and out of the pool. And let's be real, it was terrifying to swim next to someone on the lane while trying to avoid bumping into them. I finally decided it was time to cut ties with the gym.
💕 Terminating the contract
When I first called to inquire about terminating the contract, I was told I'd get around 9,000 rubles back. But when I went to the gym the next day to fill out the paperwork, I was told it would be 6,000 rubles instead. The manager kept telling me to read the contract, that it was all clearly stated there, and that the percentage would decrease each month. But I'd already called and come in to sign the papers, so I was confused. It was like they were trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

Looking back, I think it's best to opt for pay-per-use or month-to-month contracts. You never know what life will throw your way.
It'd be great if this pool were nearby and had normal facilities. We've got one for the whole city, and you have to bring your own towel and hair dryer, where the changing room doesn't lock... It smells of chlorine... And you can only swim for 45 minutes, which starts when your membership is activated, not when you get in the pool, and you still have to get changed. Sometimes it's closed for school kids. And there's no website, just a notice on the board.
You can buy a one-time visit at 'Territory of Fitness', it's 2 rubles. Perfect for a birthday party and a swim!

I wouldn't recommend Territory of Fitness in Reutov, Novokosino! It looks nice, but it's overhyped, almost the only one around. There are plenty of new high-rises nearby, and everyone's going there.
Let's be real, the uncertainty of a pool closure can be a real bummer. Who knows if it'll be a temporary or permanent situation, and what about the financial implications? It's way better to hit up the water park instead.
