T-Bank Premium: Where's the Love?
add_circle Pros
- The metal credit card is a nice touch, but it's not enough to make up for the lack of rewards on my All Airline card.
- I do like the 12% interest on my savings account, but it's not as high as my friend's Pro account, which gets 14%.
- The debit card and credit card with a 700k limit have been convenient, but I'm not sure if they're worth the hassle.
- I appreciate the fact that my parents can use duplicates of both cards, but it's not a game changer for me.
- The customer service has been okay, but it's not like they're going out of their way to help me.
remove_circle Cons
- I'm still waiting for rewards on my All Airline card, and it's been over a year since I signed up for Premium.
- The interest rates on my savings account are decent, but they're not as high as I expected.
- I've had issues with my credit card being declined at some merchants, which is frustrating.
- The fees for my credit card are higher than I'd like, especially when I'm not getting any rewards.
- I feel like I'm not getting the same level of service as my friend with the Pro account, which is annoying.

Editor's Summary
I've been with T-Bank since 2018, and I gotta say, my experience with their Premium segment has been a total letdown. I was head over heels in love with the bank, but now I'm not so sure. Here's my take on what's gone wrong.
Specifications
Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by.
A quick word about my beloved T-bank and my take on the Premium segment.
So, I've been with T-bank since 2018, and I've had my fair share of good times. I was head over heels in love with the bank, and I thought I'd be like that forever... Even when I couldn't understand why my All Airline card, which was supposed to give me rewards for traveling, wasn't giving me any rewards at all. I mean, I'm buying flights worth over 500k twice a year, and I'm not getting a single ruble back. I used to forgive them for that, because I was used to it, and I loved the bank...
Premium has been with me for a bit over a year now, and I remember when I had 12% interest on my savings account. My friend has a Pro account, and she's getting 14% interest... it's a bit annoying, but I guess that's just the way it is...
I have two cards with T-bank - a debit card and a credit card with a 700k limit, since 2019. My credit card is a metal one, and my parents have duplicates of both cards.
Premium isn't cheap, it's 1990 rubles a month, but there are options for free service if you have over 1.5 million on your account and spend over 200k a month. I'm lucky enough to be able to use it for free.
But, I have to say, I recently got a letter saying that they're introducing a psychologist for Premium clients... and it's actually a good thing, I think. The only downside is that the price is going up by a third...
But that's not the point... I used to think that I was a pretty good customer, a decent one, even. I'm not at the bottom of the premium food chain, I'm more like Premium Silver...
I have almost all of T-bank's products - debit, credit, two savings accounts, a savings account with over the insured amount, a mobile phone plan, and an insurance policy...
I do most of my transactions with my credit card, it's just the way it's always been. It's the card I use for traveling, and it gives me rewards in miles, not rubles. Not everyone finds it useful, but it was okay for me.
I spend around 500k a month, here are some screenshots from the last two months...
September's here, and on the 29th, I got a statement with a zero-interest period and the amount I need to pay back by September 22nd. I've never had a zero-interest period delayed in the 7 years I've been with them.
I wake up on September 2nd, and I'm checking my credit card... and it's suddenly maxed out at 600k! Because my credit limit just got slashed to 100k...
I write to customer support, and they give me the standard response: 'Sorry, but you agreed to this when you fell in love with us.'
Just keep on using our services, maybe we'll love you again someday...
I'm not going to go into all the emotions I felt about this. And if it weren't for my investments, I'd have cut ties with them on the same day. But for now, I'm stuck dealing with this. Honestly, I think even with simple customers like me, this isn't how you treat people. They're not going to take that kind of money from anyone in a minute.
A few hours later, I see my coworker's neighbor has two new credit cards that he applied for using my referral link just a week ago. I'd already forgotten that I'd recommended him. I go to my 'refer a friend' page, and it's empty. I write to customer support, and they're trying to convince me that he didn't actually use my link. But I'd sent him a message and helped him apply in person just a few feet away from him. Oh, great, thanks for the bonus, I guess.
So, I guess that's the final straw. I'm waiting for my investments to mature, and then I'm switching to a project card with better perks and no fees. It's been a while since they've called me... but I'm not sure who needs this kind of love anymore.
P/s/ On September 3rd, I paid for a trip with my debit card. They promised 1% cashback, but nope... not a chance. I went to the chat and asked why trips don't qualify for cashback... and suddenly, I get a premium assistant 24/7. This is a robot, by the way. It took 7 minutes to get a human. Okay, fine, I got a human. I asked for my checks, and they said they'll decide my fate. Am I worthy of cashback, or do I just deserve to keep paying for trips with their card?
