Synergetic Moisturizing Face Wash

I've tried a bunch of face washes, but this Synergetic 'Moisturizing' one really delivers. It's a gentle, plant-based cleanser that gets the job done without stripping your skin of its natural oils. I've been using it for a while now, and I can honestly say it's one of the best I've found. It effectively removes dirt and impurities while leaving your skin feeling soft and moisturized, which is perfect for sensitive skin.

My Disappointing Experience with Synergetic's Moisturizing Gel: A Product That's More Like Slime Than Hydrating Balm

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been a fan of Synergetic products for a while, but my experience with their Moisturizing Gel was a total letdown. The product feels more like a thick, sticky slime than a hydrating balm. I was expecting a lot more from a brand with a good reputation. The 96.2% natural claim on the packaging was a major selling point for me, but unfortunately, the product didn't live up to my expectations. The Synergetic Moisturizing Gel is definitely not worth the 300 rubles I paid for it, especially considering the disappointing results I got from using it. I'm really disappointed in this purchase and won't be recommending it to anyone. To be honest, I was expecting a lot more from a product that's supposed to be hydrating. The texture is just unpleasant, and it's hard to get it off your skin. I've tried using it on my face and body, but it's just not doing the trick. I've even tried mixing it with other products to see if it would work better, but no luck. I'm really disappointed in this purchase, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Hello everyone!
I've been a fan of Synergetic products for a while now, but my previous purchases were mostly limited to their cleaning and laundry products, which I was pretty happy with.
I usually buy Synergetic products at the 'Rainbow Smile' store, which has a decent selection of Russian eco-brands.
While browsing the skincare section at 'Rainbow Smile', I stumbled upon Synergetic's facial cleansers, which caught my attention.
I was intrigued by their reputation as a well-established brand, implying their products should be decent. Plus, the packaging was plastered with words like 'Natural', 'Moisturizing', and 'Hypoallergenic', and I was impressed by the 96.2% natural claim.
So, I decided to give it a try (which turned out to be a regretful purchase).
The Synergetic Moisturizing Cleanser isn't exactly budget-friendly, priced at 428 rubles for a 200ml bottle.
However, 'Rainbow Smile' offers an Eco Life subscription, which is free for a month, and grants you a 30% discount on eco-friendly products. So, I got the Synergetic cleanser for 300 rubles.
Design.
I'm satisfied with the packaging, which is a simple plastic bottle that doesn't feel cheap.

The dosing mechanism has a locking mechanism: when you turn the nozzle clockwise, it closes, ensuring the gel won't leak during transport.
Initially, I was also impressed by the nozzle's locking mechanism, which earns Synergetic some brownie points.

Formula details are written in great detail and in English, which is definitely a plus.
Usage instructions are also written in sufficient detail.
At first glance, it seems like a simple matter of using the product with pleasure. But, as it turns out, things aren't that straightforward...
I'll go over the disadvantages of this product.
1) The smell. Given that this is an eco-friendly product, I expected it to be fragrance-free or have a neutral soap-like scent. But Synergetic's gel has a grassy or herbal smell.
I wouldn't say the smell is unpleasant or overpowering, but it's somehow cheap and quite intense, even when I had a stuffy nose and was having trouble with smells, the gel's aroma still managed to push its way through.
2) The consistency. Yes, it's a gel, not too runny and just right in terms of thickness. This makes it economical to use. However, the consistency is not just gel-like, but rather slimy and unpleasant to the touch.
3) The gel clogs the nozzle of the dispenser very quickly, dries out, and turns into an unappetizing goo.
4) The product is extremely difficult to remove from your skin. You might think that applying a small amount of gel to your palm is a simple matter, but nope...
...you'll find yourself scrubbing away for a long time, only to still have that lingering feeling that you didn't quite get all the gel off.
5) Honestly, I'd have tolerated all the previous four issues if this product had actually delivered on its promise of great skin care. But what I got was a gel that dried out my skin, pulled it tight, and left it feeling rough.
I wasn't expecting any anti-aging benefits, but I was hoping for some serious hydration. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown. The level of skin care this gel provided was on par with something you'd find at a pharmacy for a fraction of the price.
When I realized this 'hydrating' (ugh, three times!) product was actually harming my mature skin, I gave it another chance, this time as a body gel. But it was just as bad. It took just as long to rinse off, left a sticky residue behind, and felt like I was putting a layer of slime on my skin.
Now, I'm using it as a hand soap. And guess what? It's still drying out my skin! I mean, what's the point of a hydrating product if it's just going to suck the moisture right out?
Overall, this gel is a total misfire. I hope the company at Synergetic doesn't keep experimenting with skin care products and sticks to their strengths in cleaning and laundry. They seem to do those well.
I wouldn't recommend this gel to my worst enemy, let alone a friend. And I certainly won't be buying it again.
So, what are the positives?
- The packaging looks nice,
- The pump is well-designed,
- zero SLS, SLES, parabens, silicones, mineral oils, or dyes,
- The ingredient list is written in Russian, and it's natural,
- The product is economical to use.
But the negatives far outweigh the positives:
- The price without discount is a bit steep,
- The gel dries out in the nozzle and looks pretty unappealing,
- It would be better without the fragrance and color, don't you think?
- It's supposed to be hypoallergenic,
but with a formula this complicated, it's a wonder there aren't more allergic reactions. And the texture? It's like slime!
- It takes ages to rinse off,
- The gel dries out my skin, and the hydration is COMPLETELY non-existent. But wasn't that what it was supposed to do?
I'd give this zero stars if I could. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
So, after using the Synergetic Moisturizing Cleanser, I'm left feeling pretty disappointed. The positives are few and far between, and the negatives are just too much to handle.
