The SWAT SWT-106 Tire Inflator: A Game-Changer for Car Enthusiasts

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've struggled with inflating tires, especially with larger rims and manual air compressors. But the SWAT SWT-106 tire inflator has been a game-changer. It's quick, quiet, and doesn't overheat, even with prolonged use. I've used it for a week now, and the build quality has impressed me. The buttons feel solid, and the battery life is longer than I expected. For the price, this thing is a steal. I highly recommend it to any car enthusiast looking for a reliable and efficient tire inflator. One thing I love about this device is its ease of use - the interface is simple and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and operate. Plus, it's designed to withstand harsh off-road conditions, so you can take it on your next adventure without worrying about it breaking down. The warranty period is also a nice touch, with a 1-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects. If you're not satisfied, you can return it within 30 days. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase, and I think you will be too.

The SWAT SWT-106 Tire Inflator: A Game-Changer for Car Enthusiasts
Hey fellow car enthusiasts, this review's for you!
I'll be the first to admit, inflating tires can be a real pain, especially when you've got 17-inch rims and a manual air compressor. That's exactly why I bought my first air compressor back in 2010, when my car and tires were smaller, and the compressor was a cheap, low-powered one. But even that little guy managed to get the job done until 2021, when it started falling apart and eventually died on me.
Needless to say, I needed a replacement, and that's when I stumbled upon the Swat SWT-106 air compressor.
Manufactured: Korea Price: When I bought it in May 2021, it cost me 1700 rubles. It's not gone up by much, and now you can get it for between 1700 and 2000 rubles, which is a steal for a device like this.
Where to buy: You can find it on Ya-Market, OnlineTrade, MVideo, Ozon, WB, and CityLink.
I bought it on Ya-Market because I was able to get a discount on it using the 'Spasibo' program from Sberbank, which brought the price down to 1450 rubles. So, be sure to compare prices and buy from the place where you'll get the best deal.
Manufacturer's description:
The Swat SWT-106 air compressor is a device that quickly and efficiently inflates your car's tires. It runs on 12V power, draws a maximum of 14.5A, and can reach a maximum pressure of 5.5 atm. It can run continuously for around 40 minutes, has a productivity of 60 liters per minute, and operates in a wide temperature range of -30 to 80 degrees Celsius.
The compressor is connected via the cigarette lighter or battery terminals. The air hose is 1 meter long, and the power cord is 2.8 meters long. The device is relatively quiet, with a noise level of just 60 decibels. It measures 170mm wide, 150mm tall, and 80mm deep, and weighs a lightweight 2.1 kg, making it easy to carry around.
My impressions:
At first, I wanted to splurge on a more premium and expensive device from Goodyear, but I was talked out of it, citing the absurdity of overpaying for a brand name. Plus, the reviews for this compressor were better, and there were more of them. The Swat SWT-106 Compressor has a consistent rating of 4.6 to 4.8 on various online shopping sites.
I decided to take a chance, considering the low price, and I haven't regretted my choice after over a year of use. It's actually nice to have something to compare it to.
The Swat SWT-106 Compressor comes in a bright yellow cardboard box, which includes a storage bag, adapter for inflating other items, and battery clips, as well as an instruction manual.
The compressor itself feels solid and reliable, made of metal. It's easy to turn on and off with a familiar switch on the side of the black plastic casing.
Compared to my previous compressor, I like that this one is more powerful - 60 liters per minute. That's enough to inflate a 17-inch tire from 1 atm to 2.2 in just 2-3 minutes. It can also inflate a completely deflated tire to the desired pressure without overheating.
It's also quieter and more stable, with no rattling or shaking during the inflation process.
It doesn't overheat or shut off even after 15-20 minutes of continuous use.
It works at any air temperature.
The power cord is a decent 2.8 meters long, but it would be nice if it was a bit shorter since it tends to get dirty and dirty during rainy or slushy seasons.
The air hose is also a convenient 1 meter long, making it easy to reach the tire valve without getting dirty.
I'm a big fan of the interchangeable nozzles for inflating balls, mattresses, and even my bike tires.
The standard pressure gauge is super familiar and easy to read.
The storage bag is a nice touch, and I'm impressed that it's still in great shape after a year and a half - the lock is still working smoothly too.
After 15 months of use, I'm happy to report that the Swat SWT-106 Compressor still performs like new, doesn't overheat, and I'm confident I can use it anywhere without needing any help to inflate my bike tires.
I highly recommend this affordable and reliable compressor!
Powerful - 60 liters per minute Quiet and stable operation No overheating or shutdown even after 15-20 minutes of continuous use Works at any air temperature Convenient 1-meter air hose Interchangeable nozzles for inflating various items Standard pressure gauge is easy to read Storage bag is a nice touch
Power cord could be shorter May get dirty during rainy or slushy seasons
Rating: 4.8/5
Recommendation: I highly recommend this affordable and reliable compressor to anyone in need of a good air compressor.
