Hello everyone!
In this review, I want to share my impressions of the Supradin vitamin complex, which I took to keep my body going last winter.
Basic info:
Price: It costs around 950 rubles for 30 tablets, and 1500 rubles for 60 tablets.Where to buy: Supradin is sold in many pharmacies in my city, as well as online stores like Ozon or Wildberries. I bought it at Megaaptek.Manufacturer:Number of tablets in a pack: 30 or 60 tablets.Shelf life: 2 years.Packaging:
The supplement comes in a classic cardboard box with bright, sunny yellow-orange colors. The usual paper instruction sheet wasn't included in the box, but all the necessary information about the vitamins is right on the box. The front of the packaging has the usual stuff - the product name, its purpose, expected effects, and the number of tablets in the pack.
I love how the sides of the box are packed with information about the product. On one side, they've listed out all the vitamins, minerals, and microelements that are in each tablet, along with the exact amounts. To me, that's the most important stuff, and it's super convenient that it's right on the box - no need to dig through a big instruction manual to find it.
The other side of the box has all the info you need to know about how to use the product, including dosage and storage instructions. I actually kind of like that they didn't include a huge instruction manual - it's all the essentials right on the box, and the text is nice and easy to read.
At the bottom of the box, you'll find the product series, production date, and expiration date.
When I opened the box, I found six blister packs with 10 tablets each. You'll see only five on the photo because my husband and I had already used one pack by the time we took the picture. The blister packs are pretty standard: foil on one side and transparent on the other, so you can easily see the tablet size and shape before you remove them.
Each blister pack has the bare minimum of information about the vitamins: the name in two languages and the product's purpose. In practice, the blister packs are really convenient – the tablets come out easily, and they don't fall out. Plus, they take up very little space in your bag, which is a big plus if you're used to carrying vitamins with you, like when you're traveling.
I really like that each blister pack has the production date and expiration date printed on it. That way, even if the box ends up in the trash, you'll still know when the vitamins expire.
PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:
I was really impressed with the appearance of this supplement - it's a vibrant red color and comes in a nice oval tablet shape. The surface is super smooth, with no ridges or imperfections to speak of. At first, I was a bit concerned that the tablets might be too large, but they're actually pretty easy to swallow. I didn't experience any issues with swallowing them, even after taking them for a while. The taste is slightly sweet, thanks to the bright red coating, and there's no discernible odor.

Metabolic disorders: hypercalcemia.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICATIONS:
You shouldn't take other multivitamin supplements at the same time.
Products containing vitamin E should be used with caution in patients taking anticoagulants or medications affecting platelet aggregation.
Vitamin B6, even in small doses, increases peripheral metabolism of levodopa, reducing the therapeutic effect of levodopa in treating Parkinson's disease.
Iron, calcium, magnesium, copper, and zinc supplements may interfere with the absorption of oral tetracycline antibiotics and antiviral medications. Take these supplements at least 1-2 hours apart.
Taking laxatives like mineral oil at the same time may impair vitamin D absorption in the gut.
When taking foods high in oxalates (such as spinach, beet greens, and rhubarb) and phytates (found in whole grain bread), calcium absorption is reduced, so it's best not to take the supplement for 2 hours after consuming a meal high in oxalate and phytate content.
MY TAKEAWAYS:
I've been trying to take a vitamin supplement every year during the winter-spring season. Last year, I was impressed by the effervescent Sredin, so I decided to try the tablet version this year. The price difference between the tablets and the effervescent version was significant, and I hoped the tablets would be just as good, given the same manufacturer.
So, let's get to the point. I started taking Sredin in February 2024, taking one tablet per day, for a month-long course. My husband joined me on this, and I'll share his thoughts briefly at the end of this review. The supplement is easy to take, with tablets that are smooth to swallow and pleasant to the taste, without any aftertaste. I usually took Sredin after dinner, but according to the instructions, it can be taken at any time of day.
As for the effect, it's tough to say. Honestly, I've always struggled to evaluate the effectiveness of vitamins without lab tests. Sometimes, I do feel an improvement in my well-being, while other times, I don't notice a difference, even after a month of taking the supplement. I'll try to break down the effects I've observed from taking Sredin below.
HAIR, NAILS, SKINHonestly, I didn't notice any change in my overall appearance, or specifically with my hair, skin, or nails. I have pretty decent hair growth. After taking Supradin, my hair continued to fall out at the same rate. My nails aren't brittle, but they do occasionally split. And after a month of taking Supradin, I didn't notice any changes. My nails are still strong, just like they were, and they still occasionally split. My skin is combination, oily in the T-zone, normal on my cheeks. There are no breakouts, and the aging signs are minor (I have a small mimmic wrinkle on my forehead, which formed due to active facial expressions about 10 years ago). And I didn't notice any changes on my face after taking Supradin. My skin didn't become less oily, it didn't look fresher, I didn't notice any effect at all.
GENERAL FEELING, MOOD, SLEEPEvery year, in the fall-winter season, I get hit with the blues. Nothing special, but in the winter it's harder for me to wake up, my mood is just okay, I get tired faster, I notice a decline in energy and strength. It's not just laziness, I really do get tired more in the winter. In the summer, it's all easier, but in the winter after an hour of walking, I feel like I do after three hours of walking at the same pace. Last winter was the same. After a month of taking Supradin, nothing changed. The vitamin intake had no effect on my overall feeling, energy, or mood. Waking up in the mornings is still hard, and I still get tired pretty quickly.
I've also been struggling with sleep, and I've been experiencing insomnia pretty regularly. I'll wake up at 3 or 4 am and lie awake for an hour or an hour and a half. This has been a recurring issue for me. When I first started taking Supradin, I didn't have any problems with sleep, but I would wake up feeling groggy in the morning, just like I do during the winter months. It's hard to say if Supradin had any positive effect on my sleep, but I'm inclined to think it didn't. Supradin also didn't seem to have any impact on my nervous system. I've got a pretty short temper, and nothing changed during or after taking the vitamins.
IMMUNITYI take vitamin complexes to boost my immunity, especially during the autumn, winter, and spring months. My immune system tends to weaken in February and March, so taking vitamins during this time is especially important. I was taking Supradin right at the end of the cold season, and I didn't get any illnesses during that time. However, I'm not sure if that's really due to Supradin, since I work from home and don't often find myself in crowded areas where I'd be exposed to a lot of germs. Maybe my immune system just wasn't challenged much that year.
That being said, the presence of vitamins D and C in this supplement does give me some hope that it might be helping to support my immune system. On the other hand, the amounts of these vitamins are relatively low, so I'm not sure if it's really doing much to boost my immunity.
My Husband's ImpressionsMy partner noticed the same lack of impact from this vitamin complex as I did - none at all. The only caveat is that he started taking Supradin after recovering from a viral illness, and he complained about a lack of energy and vitality. There was no magical effect from the vitamins, he said he still felt sluggish and lacking energy, with or without them. And as for the other parameters, he's still the same, whether he took it or not - no noticeable difference.
Side Effects:One of the few positives I can mention about Supradin is the absence of side effects during its use. Like me, my partner has issues with their digestive system (I have gastritis and GERD, and he has chronic colitis). So sometimes taking certain medications affects their digestive system, causing pain or heartburn. With Supradin, there were no issues like that, and that's a big plus. There were no other side effects noted by either of us.
Contains a wide range of vitamins, minerals, and microelements in its composition; The tablets are easy to swallow and have a pleasant taste;Lack of side effects;Convenient dosing schedule, just one tablet per day.Cons:
I didn't see any effect after a month of daily use of this vitamin complex;High cost for such low effectiveness. Conclusion:
I have to admit, it's tough to review vitamin supplements because sometimes their effects can be really subtle, but they still manage to meet the daily recommended intake. With Supradin, it's a mixed bag. On the one hand, the packaging looks great and lists all the goodies you get in each tablet. I'm guessing it does cover the daily dose of essential vitamins and other nutrients. On the other hand, I didn't notice any real changes after taking it for a month. And thirdly, I think the price is a bit steep for such a mild effect. Based on all this, I'd give Supradin less than three stars and won't be buying the tablets again.
Thanks for reading my review! I hope it was helpful.
