A Disappointing Prequel

summarizeEditor's Summary

Unfortunately, this prequel fails to deliver on its promise of action-packed storylines and interesting characters. The acting is subpar, the storyline is dry, and the whole thing feels like a lazy attempt to cash in on the Supernatural brand.

A Prequel That Falls Flat
I was super stoked when I heard that a prequel to Supernatural was in the works. I mean, who wouldn't want to dive into the early days of the Winchester brothers?
Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived. The show failed to deliver on its promise of action-packed storylines, interesting characters, and a healthy dose of supernatural goodness.
First off, the acting was subpar. Some of the actors just couldn't pull off the tough, edgy vibe of the hunters. It looked like they were phoning it in.
Then there's the whole Vietnam flashback thing. I mean, come on, it's 2023 – that's just lazy. If you're going to do it, do it right.
The storyline was dry, boring, and lacked any real tension. It's like the writers didn't even bother to watch other shows to see what works.
I'm being honest here – I only made it through two episodes before I lost interest.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this show to fans of Supernatural. You'll be disappointed.
